Chapter 3 - Moving

The next few days were like war, every scientific question were either answered by Jenna or Justin. Jenna was low-key getting frustrated because she hated loosing especially to a guy who just appeared out of nowhere. The girls in the class saw her as a Pick-me

"She knows she can't get his attention with her ugly face so she decides to go lower and disgrace herself" Molly who was one of Sofia's minions said sipping her latte

"Exactly what I thought.... he's definitely smarter and cuter and has more influence..I mean it's only been a few days since he's been here and he already has like massive followers"Zaza another minion of Sofia said.

"But she's low-key getting his attention..the fact that he keeps going back and forth with her, it's clear he is interested in this stupid game"Molly said

"Then it's time we do something about her" Sofia finally spoke up, her expression calm and eerie that gave Molly and Zaza the chills

In an empty classroom, Jenna paced back and forth while Lizzy just sat there with her hands folded looking at her best friend go crazy " I just want to understand why I'm being locked up in here with your anxious ass" Lizzy said

"It's been a few days he's been here and he's already walked around like he owns the place" Jenna said still pacing

"Girl you've never owned this place" Lizzy reminded "He's testing my patience...ugh! I hate him" Jenna exclaimed her whole body vibrating with anger

"Calm down...why are you so worked up over this dude anyway?.. can't you just go with the flow and stop battling with him... it's not like you can win him" Lizzy said

Jenna stopped pacing she turned around and glared at Lizzy "yes I can and will win... he's no match for this brain... I've never failed a single question in my entire life..have you been to my room full of trophies?" she asked angrily

Lizzy rolled her eyes dramatically "Yes I have and I know you have about 236 trophies.. congratulations now can we move on from this beef?..you need to stop, words are spreading around and let me tell you girl...they aren't good at all" Lizzy said standing up and looking at her "Give up" Lizzy said

"I don't give up, I won't give up"

"I hope you are aware that this guy is rage baiting you right?" Lizzy asked and then sighed "What happened to having fun because this is the last and probably will be the best year of our lives? so what if some random hot looking guy is trying to get you mad..ignore him he probably doesn't have as much trophies as you anyway...come one Jenna... don't be such a nerd_ Lizzy said

"Fine... I'll leave him alone" Jenna said "Once I have a talk with him" she added and then dashed out of the classroom, Lizzy sighed "If she thinks I'm chasing her then she is dead wrong." Lizzy said and walked out of the classroom

Jenna stood in front of Justin who was 6 feet taller than her "Listen, Justin or whatever, can you please stop? I have no grudges against you and if you can just stop meddling around my business then everyone can be fine" Jenna said

Justin looked down at her, she had a long wavy brown hair at waist length, her olive skin dotted with beauty marks and her cute freckles that looked like stars in the night sky, her billowy yellow top paired with a short white skirt, with her oval rimmed glasses. He had to admit she was really pretty, he scoffed

"Are you done?" he asked indifferently , Jenna stood there speechless, the rudeness of his tone made her loose it, she scoffed and then walked away angrily.

*After school*

Jenna and Lizzy walked home chatting happily "Girl, you just have to let the boy be"Lizzy spoke up

"Trust me I'm trying to" Jenna said "How about we have a sleepover at my house tomorrow" she suggested

"For real? Omg it's been so long"Lizzy said excitedly and Jenna chuckled. She knew how much Lizzy loved sleepovers.

"Okay then see tomorrow after school" Jenna said and waved her goodbye before they went their separate ways.

As soon as Jenna got home she was greeted with a delightful aroma of Enchiladas and Cochinita Pibil, she smiled "Mom I'm home" she announced as she made a way to the kitchen just in time to see her mother serving the food into the plates

"Welcome back honey, how was your day?"her mother asked. "Stressful as always" Jenna answered as she opened the refrigerator to take a bottle of water

"Why don't you go upstairs and freshen up then come downstairs for dinner" Vanessa her mother said "okay mom" Jenna replied then went upstairs

*Few minutes later*

The family had settled down at the table getting ready to eat, Jenna and her younger sister Gloria sat beside eachother while Vanessa and her oldest daughter Sydney sat opposite them

"Mom where is dad?" Gloria asked as they ate "He's going to be late again today sweetie, which means I'll be the one to break the news" Vanessa said

"what news?" Sydney asked curiously

"Your dad got promoted" Vanessa broke the news to the children "Oh my goodness that's awesome" Jenna exclaimed

"Yeah, they gave him a new car and a new house" Vanessa said smiling brightly

"For real? that's so cool"Sydney smiled

"wait what does this mean?" Jenna asked

"It means we are moving" Vanessa said

"What?!" the three girls shouted in unison
