Selene expected this, but now that it was happening, she couldn't believe her eyes and ears. She shook her head, taking a step back.

“I can, Selene. I know I wasn't good to you from the beginning. I know I hurt you sometimes, and it was because I couldn't bring myself to accept the fact that I loved you.
