“Where the heck have you been, dude?” Bryce asked as Dominic stepped into the palace.
“Long story.” He sighed and was about to rush to him.
“Dominic,”
He turned and saw his mother. When she saw that he looked fine, she heaved a deep sigh of relief. “Where did you go?” She asked, holding him. She was scared and worried about him. She was even about to rally up the guards to look for him before Bryce stopped them.
“I was taking care of something.” He answered.
“Doesn't that thing have a name?” She asked him, her eyes narrowing at him.
“It does, but I can't tell you that. All that matters is that I'm back safe and sound.” He gave her cheek a peck and hurried up the stairs to his room. Bryce followed him immediately.
