Ares chuckled and stood from his throne. He walked to where Apollo stood and stopped in front of him. “Do you think you can quit the plan because you want to? This is about what I want, Apollo.”
“Exactly. What you want is different from what I want, so I don't want to do this anymore. Selene won't choose love over her duty. I should have thought about this before agreeing to work with you. Goodbye.” He turned to leave and Ares chuckled.
“When will you stop being naive, Apollo? Selene deceived you. Even a scarecrow knows that she loves Dominic.”
Apollo stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Ares. “That is true. I spoke with her last night and she told me—”
“She lied to you,”He interrupted and Apollo shook his head.
“Selene doesn't lie. She would never lie to me.”
