Balance; (verb) bring or come into or keep in equilibrium *** Grim I remember the first time I saw him. It was raining as he sat in 'Jack's Café', a mug of coffee sitting to the front and to the left of him, next to the file he was reading through. I remember seeing him through the lens of my black camera, watching as he looked up from his file to look outside. I knew he couldn't see me, but I also knew from experience that people can sense when they are being watched. His dark, black hair had begun falling into his green-brown eyes. He was my target, the person I had been assigned to kill. Of course, it wasn't until after I had seen him that I had begun the path to changing my mind. When looking back through the photos I was able to see the words on the file he was reading over. It was a cold case, a murder from ten years ago that they hadn't solved yet. I knew about it, because I was the killer. His personality, his behaviour, it didn't match the reasoning behind him being a target. He wasn't the kind of person to commit a s****l assault... his profile was also inconsistent within the Balance archives. It was choppy, filled with misinformation that would only be noticed if you were to follow up every part of their life. If anyone else were assigned to him they wouldn't have. But it was me. I always profile my targets, gather my own information, figure out their routine, their personality and every part of their life possible. He was a almost a psychology doctorate, currently training to join the Federal Bureau of Investigation while completing his degree. He seemed like the kind of person to help save lives, he could make a great difference in this world. And me, well... I was the personification of death.
