Mason woke up the next morning feeling agitated. He was left all alone with his thoughts as Julie had departed for work. He found it difficult to concentrate on the day ahead as Desmond's messages last night kept tormenting him. He tried to shake it off his head, but it seemed impossible. When he got to work that morning, Desmond summoned him to his office. Desmond's tone sounds all business and professional. “Mason, we need to discuss the upcoming business trip. We are to meet with some potential clients and investors in New York. It's very critical to the project's success.” “When do we leave?” Mason asked, nodding his head in agreement and attempting to retain his composure. Desmond handed Mason the itinerary. “Tomorrow morning, we will be there for three days and I have already arranged everything for the trip.” Mason collected the papers from him as his mind raced. He knew that the journey would keep him away from Julie, but it was really necessary for his job. “Okay, I will be ready.” The following day, they took a trip to New York. Desmond appeared to be composed and professional, but Mason could still sense the tension among them. Desmond spoke as they approached their hotel after landing. “ We have a meeting tonight at an exclusive club downtown. I need you to bring your A-game, Mason.” “Of course,” Mason replied, trying to be focused. They arrived at the club later that evening. A sleek and elegant structure. Mason was amazed by the ambiance. They met with the investors and discussed the project's possibilities. Mason felt a burst of confidence as he talked about the project, and Desmond's encouraging nods boosted his spirit. After the meeting, Desmond suggested they relax with a drink. They sat in a quiet area of the club and Desmond ordered a bottle of wine. Desmond raised his glass. “You did great tonight, Mason. I am glad to have you on the team.” Mason clicked his glass against Desmond’s. “Thanks, I'm glad to be here.” Their discussion became more personal as they sipped their wine. Desmond leaned in towards Mason. His voice was low. “ You know, Mason. I've always respected your intelligence, your commitment, and… well, I have always felt something special for you.” “I appreciate all you have said, Desmond. But this feeling… is difficult,” Mason replied. Desmond nodded. “ I understand you, but I can't change how I feel. I believe maybe you feel the same way too.” Mason took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. “See, Desmond. I…" Before Mason could say the next word, Desmond's powerful yet soft hand rested on his shoulder." Let's go somewhere more private,” he said in a low voice. Mason paused for a while then nodded in agreement. He followed Desmond to a secluded room at the club. Desmond locked the door behind them. Desmond drew closer, with his eyes fixed on Mason's. “ I have wanted this for a long time, Mason,” he whispered. Mason felt a surge of emotions, with confusion, exhilaration, and terror. Desmond leaned in, and their lips came together, and they shared a passionate kiss. The kiss felt like an electric, igniting a fire within Mason. The tension between them increased as they moved to the couch. Desmond's hands moved over Mason's body, causing sensations that left him breathless. They were quickly lost in the intensity of the moment as their clothes flew off. Desmond's touch was assured, and he knew exactly how to push Mason to his limits. Mason replied enthusiastically, his body craving for more. Mason felt alive as they glued together, something he had never experienced with Julie. Every touch, kiss, and experience was a revelation. He felt pain at first as Desmond penetrated his anus, but the rest was bliss he had never had in his life. He relished every moment of it, with the thought of Julie not crossing his mind. Mason glanced at the roof as they lay twisted in each other's arms, their breaths mingling. Desmond whispered, “That was incredible, you are amazing.” Mason exhaled, feeling both elated and guilty. “Desmon, I still don't understand what this implies. I am with Julie.” I understand, I respect that. But you can't refute what we had.” Desmond said, kissing his forehead. Mason closed his eyes and felt his conflicted feelings. “ I just need to figure this out.” The air between them was filled with silent and unspoken words as they dressed. Mason couldn't get back to his hotel without feeling torn in two directions. They resumed their business meetings the next day as their clients came, stating their struggles. Mason did admirably, dazzling the clients and retaining their interests. When they got to their hotel that evening, Desmond broke the silence. “Mason, I want to know if there is a chance for us. Though I don't want to put pressure on you. Mason looked up with conflicted eyes. “ I care about you Desmond, but I also adore Julie so much. I don't want to hurt her.” Desmond nodded. “ But you have to be honest with your desires. I know you enjoyed what we had the last time.” That night, as Mason lay in bed, his phone vibrated with a message from Julie. “ I miss you. I can't wait for you to return home.” Mason felt a twinge of shame and want. How could he reconcile his two desires?
