The bar's dim lights cast a warm glow over the polished wooden surfaces, but to Maya, it felt like the world had shrunk to just Lucas. She could feel the heat radiating from him even across the table, and every glance he gave her carried months of unsaid words, of longing, of desire.
"She wasn't pregnant, sophie " she whispered, sliding her phone across the table. A photo of Sophie's file glared up at him. "From the beginning, it was all lies. Every single thing."
Lucas leaned back for a second, taking it all in, the anger, the relief, the disbelief. Then he looked up at her, and that gaze fierce, protective, and impossibly tender pierced her chest like a dagger.
"I knew from the beginning, immediately she said she was pregnant back in Italy," he said quietly, voice low, raw. "I had someone look into it, i didnt saying cause i wanted to protect my little family."
Something inside her snapped. All this while Lucas has been fighting for her behind the scenes and she doesn't know , she feels guilt and longing
Lucas on the other hand. Leaning forward towards her Maya reached for him, her hands tangling in his hair, pulling him down to kiss her. It started soft, hesitant, like testing the waters of a river long forbidden, but soon it became urgent, desperate, all the restraint of years apart exploding in that single connection.
Lucas groaned into her mouth, his lips claiming hers with a heat that made her knees weak. His hands roamed her back, memorising every curve he had missed, every inch of skin that he had imagined, dreamed about, longed for. Maya clung to him, trembling as his body pressed against hers, hard and unyielding, the reality of him finally here crashing over her.
"I've missed you so much," she breathed into his mouth, tilting her head to let him dominate the kiss.
"More than you know," he growled, voice husky. "Every day without you... every night... I thought about this moment a thousand times."
The air around them seemed to thrum with tension. Every touch, every brush of skin, was electric. They stumbled out of the bar, their hands intertwined, lips still finding each other. The city around them faded into background noise - nothing existed except the two of them, the heat that had been burning silently for months.
In the taxi, they couldn't keep their hands off each other. Lucas's palm pressed against her thigh, trailing higher with every stoplight, while Maya's fingers toyed with his shirt, pulling him closer, needing to feel every inch of him. Their kisses were no longer gentle; they were raw, hungry, desperate.
"I've imagined this," Maya whispered between kisses, voice trembling, "every single moment we were apart..."
"I know," Lucas breathed back, a shiver running through him. "I've imagined it too. You, me... . all of it."
By the time the taxi pulled up in front of the hotel, they were almost feverish, trembling with need. As soon as the door closed, Lucas pinned Maya against it, hands roaming, lips devouring her with unrestrained passion. She gasped into his mouth, fingers clutching his shoulders, pressing him closer.
"You have no idea how long I've waited for this," he murmured against her lips, teeth grazing hers in a tease that made her shiver.
"Then don't waste another second," she replied, her own voice rough with desire.
Their clothes became a battlefield, discarded hurriedly, pieces falling to the floor as their urgency grew. Every inch of skin exposed felt like a revelation, a promise, a reclamation of the intimacy that had been denied to them for too long. Lucas's hands traced her curves, memorising, exploring, worshipping her body as it belonged to him - because, in truth, it always had.
Maya felt heat coil in her belly as he pressed his chest to hers, lips moving from her neck to her collarbone, sucking, kissing, leaving marks that burned deliciously against her skin. She arched against him, moaning softly, letting the sensation take over, every touch, every sigh, every whispered name feeding the fire between them.
"God, Maya," Lucas groaned, voice low, vibrating against her skin. "I've dreamed about this... every single day."
"I know," she whispered back, trembling. "I've dreamed about you... me... us..."
They moved together toward the bed, falling onto the soft mattress in a tangle of limbs and longing. Every touch was electric, every kiss igniting a fire that had smouldered far too long. Lucas traced the curve of her back, her waist, the swell of her hips, his lips leaving a trail that had her shivering and gasping for more. Caressing her breast with kisses
"I've missed your body... your scent... everything about you," he murmured against her skin, lips brushing her ear.
"And I've missed you... your hands... your kisses... the way you look at me," she replied, clutching him tightly, her heart hammering in her chest.
Lucas entered her slowly, deliberately, letting them savour the long-awaited reunion. Their movements were in sync, every touch and thrust a confession, a reminder of all the months they had been apart, of all the stolen moments they had imagined. Maya's nails dug into his back, her cries mingling with his groans, a symphony of passion that was both desperate and tender.
"I love you," Lucas whispered, voice breaking slightly, as he held her close, looking into her eyes even as they trembled together.
"I love you too," Maya replied, tears mingling with sweat, body trembling with the intensity of their connection. "I've always loved you."
They moved together, riding the waves of pleasure and emotion, every kiss, every embrace, every sigh carrying layers of forgiveness, longing, and devotion. It was more than s*x - it was a reclamation of their bond, a celebration of survival, a promise that no one could ever tear them apart again.
Hours later, they lay entwined, bodies glistening, hearts pounding in sync. Lucas held Maya tightly, forehead pressed against hers, breathing her in.
"You're mine," he murmured. "Always have been, always will be."
"You're mine too," Maya whispered, pressing her lips to his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart. "No one can take that from us."
And for the first time in months, they slept not just in each other's arms, but in the safety, heat, and certainty of a love that had been tested, tried, and had finally burned brighter than ever.
