CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE — Unleashed Power

411 Words
The night was alive with danger. Lyra had struck again, sending her supernatural minions to the outskirts of the school, where we trained. Shadows twisted unnaturally, figures lunging from the darkness with teeth bared and eyes glowing. My wolf surged immediately, muscles coiling, claws itching, instincts screaming. The bond flared violently, red-hot along my collarbone, marking me, claiming me. Every nerve alive. “Stay close!” Kael growled, shifting partially, hybrid aura flaring. His hands brushed mine, grounding me, teasing, possessive. Silver-blue eyes blazing, he was fire incarnate. “Control it… focus… let your wolf guide you, but obey me.” I inhaled sharply, body trembling, hips pressing instinctively toward him, wolf pressing fully, heat coiling low and deep. My chest heaved, pulse racing. The first minion lunged at me. My wolf reacted instinctively—strength, speed, and instincts flowing through me. But something else surged, unfamiliar, raw, primal. Fire rolled through my veins. I struck with precision, energy amplified by the bond. Kael’s hands trailed along my arms, guiding me. “Good… feel it. Your wolf… your power… channel it into control… into strength… into me.” I shivered violently, body humming, wolf pressing fully, instincts wild. The bond flared, red streaks burning across my collarbone, proof of claim, proof of connection, proof of desire. Another minion lunged. My hands glowed faintly with raw energy—my new power manifesting, amplified by the bond, intertwined with my wolf instincts. I struck it down with a force I didn’t know I had, heart hammering, body trembling, heat spiraling. Kael pressed close, lips brushing my ear, voice husky and deep. “Mine… every surge, every instinct, every desire… all of you belongs to me.” I gasped, wolf pressing, body alive with heat and tension, chest heaving. Every strike, every motion, every surge of power intertwined with him, with the bond, with fire and hunger. The minions fell back, retreating under the onslaught of our combined strength. Lyra’s smirk appeared from the shadows, silver eyes flashing. “You’ve grown… Vale. But this isn’t over.” Kael pulled me close, possessive, grounding me. Lips brushed my temple, voice low and intimate. “You’re mine. Every part… every power… every instinct.” My wolf whined, pressing fully, body trembling, heat spiraling low and deep. Desire, power, and bond coiled together, undeniable. Even as threats lingered, even as danger loomed, I realized fully: I belong to him. My wolf agrees. And together… we are unstoppable.
