"Please John do it for me?" I beg taking both of his hands in mine.
I've been trying to get John to sing, but he's too afraid. It broke my heart when he told me that he hasn't be able to sing since I was kidn*pped. I feel guilty, and I know it's silly, but I do feel guilty.
"What if I can't sing?" He asks.
"I'll love you no matter what", I say. "Remember I didn't like you just because you were a singer, I love you for being you, I don't love you because of your singing voice".
John sighs and nods.
"I know, I know", he mumbles.
It's heartbreaking to see him this down.
"Just... Think of something that makes you really, really happy and just sing, just let your happiness out", I say, trying to be helpful.
