Immediately a surge of panic rose all around. People started whispering and talking noisily. Woori started to turn around, but a shock of electricity bolted straight on her back and she stumbles forward. Angela aimed a high kick and she fell on the carpet. The Bo Chang leaped onto the scene and handcuffed her.
There was a grasp of shock all around. The wild-eyed groom was standing petrified with his mouth hanging open.
"I am not Woori or anyone. You are mistaken", she cried out loudly writhing and lashing out her legs to free herself.
"Whether you are Woori or not, we will see that in the station", I came forward and leaned down upon her to make her stand. I grabbed her arm and pulled her to her feet.
"You are the wrong officer", spoke the stunned groom for the first time. He was still traumatized by the events unfolding before him. "She is my wife, Alicia. You are mistaken. There must be some misunderstanding."
-"No, Sir", Angela gritted her teeth trying her best to handle a squirming Woori before her. "She is a criminal and she has her hands full of blood."
-"No! I am Alicia. Alicia James. I demand a lawyer. You can't arrest me without a warrant",
She was still trying her best to break free.
"Shut up! ", Angela slapped her on her face and punched her hard into her guts. "Killing an Interpol Officer is a non-bail offense and the criminal will be denied any lawyer. The whole country knows that."
"Michael let's go! We are done here", Bo Chang strode off the aisle outside in the Sun. I picked up a struggling Alicia and trudged out.
The groom ran after us shouting her innocence and warning us of the consequence of this. All other guests stood transfixed and wide-eyed in shock. Confusion ran rampant among them and no one really understood what exactly happened.
Woori or Alicia, whatever she wanted to call herself was pushed inside the back of the police car, and her mouth was gagged and she was blindfolded. She was still struggling with muffled sounds when Bo Chang started the engine.
"I feel pity for the groom, did you see how shocked he looked? So much stunned he was! ", Angela said after some time.
"Yeah. He would have never thought that three police officers in disguise would crash his wedding like this, did he? ", Bo Chang scoffed a laugh.
I smiled too. We succeeded in arresting the second one after Lenus. Four more to go. And this case would be done. Gods are showing us favors. Not everything is lost. Woori would be forced to give up the location and the whereabouts of their so-called Boss and we will form a strategy to arrest them.
Alfred would smile from above seeing that I have kept my promise and Jasmine too would be able to spend the rest of her life in peace. The dangerous retribution would meet its end.
"What if this girl isn’t Woori? " Angela asked from her back seat.
-"What makes you think so? "
-"Don't know. The way she was fighting and pleading and confidently demanded a lawyer made me falter for a moment."
-"Angela ", Bo Chang looked at her from the rearview mirror. "When we reach Base, you try to find the branded mark on her body. Lenus had said that they were all branded at some parts of their body. Find it".
-"And what if we are unable to find so?"
-"Then we will apologize to her and send her off, which is very much unlikely going to happen. I trust Jasmine’s Instinct".
I nodded, too. I too trusted her instincts. Until she was sure, she wouldn’t have confirmed that the girl at the back of the van, tied and gaged was one of the six criminals.
"Poor groom! ", I remarked.
-"No Michael. He would be nursing a broken heart at present. And we did a good job by saving him from a criminal and a gold digger", Angela remarked.
-"Yeah. You are very right in saying this".
We rode in silence. The car ran like a Pegasus flying towards our base. Woori must have been too much tired to continue her fight for freedom as no sound was heard from the back. She was sitting still in her enclosure.
A woman, who partook in taking away the dignity of another woman. "What punishment does she deserve? ", I asked myself. She was worse than the men. An abomination of our earth itself. Just for a bunch of notes, she allowed 6 men to r**e a woman, watching everything, never trying to make them stop. The very face of her repelled me.
Mom always taught me and Alfred from early childhood about how different the species of 'women' were from us. More delicate, more emotional, but more frightening and vengeful. The love of a woman is unending like an ocean, and when she goes for vengeance, her retribution is the most fearsome thing of all. Every pagan religion, worship their females as a goddess. Be it Hera, the vengeful Greek goddess of marriage, or Durga, the Indian deity of power and strength. But Woori defied this whole thesis of Woman. She was neither compassionate nor loveable. She played for money, she killed for money and she took pleasure for money. 'What type of woman is she?', I wondered. The illegitimate daughter of the fiend Himself. An Evil Witch!
This was the first time I was witnessing something like that. Throughout my life, I had arrested many women who committed crimes of murder, violence, drug peddling, trafficking, and robbery. But a woman in a r**e case was the first of its kind.
The car stopped and we dragged her out of it. She was throwing her legs wildly. Angela literally clutched her neck and pulled her towards the door of our secret base.
"Welcome Woori", I teased mockingly lifting her blindfold. "Sorry, we can't provide a more proper greeting than this to our delinquent bride."
