The Havoc He Brings

"Let go, Aden. I need that human now." I tried to brush him off but he wouldn't budge.

"Harm that human and I will slit the throat of the cat you just saved."

I backed down when I heard what Aden said. I know he's not joking. I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself down.

"You okay now?" Aden asked.

I looked at him and just nod. He's back to normal too.

"Get back in the car. Call an ambulance and we'll let them take care of this man."

The guy is now slumped on the ground, unconscious. Aden pushed me to walked back to the car before he got closer to the human.

Tsk.

As instructed, I called 911.

"Unconscious human. Blood coming out of his temple. Beaten up by a group of thugs. The parking lot of Z building." I said and just before they could ask another question, I dropped the call.

Now, what will I do with this poor thing? Should I drive myself to an animal hospital? Yeah, I probably should since Aden is not here.

"No you won't, little missy."

"Hell, Aden! Why do you keep on popping suddenly? And I said stop going through my head!"

"Don't give me that attitude. You almost killed that guy."

"Hey, I wasn't the one who smacked him in the head!"

"That wasn't my point! Argh, just get your things." he frustratingly said.

"But how about this poor thing?" I asked while showing him the cat I'm carrying.

He ran his hand on his hair and walked away. I saw him fishing out his phone in his pocket and called someone.

Look at this guy, he asked me to call an ambulance when he could've called it himself. Tsk.

Not a minute passed and he walked back to me. "I called Hiro. He'll be here to pick up the cat. Just lay it down in the front seat and get your things so you can already settle in."

I did what he told me. I lay the cat down in the front seat and made sure that he is comfortable enough. I got my things and follow Aden inside the building.

We went to the elevator and just before the door closed completely, I saw the blue and red light flashing outside the building.

"This is where you'll be staying. You do everything here by yourself. I will just wire the money you need." Aden started talking as we got inside my condo.

It's nice. Spacious, modern, and clean. It's almost the same space as my room back in the mansion.

"As for your diet, Hiro will be bringing it to you every day. And please Luxe, never forget to take it. I don't want you rampaging in the city."

I just rolled my eyes at his remark.

We put down my things in the living room and sit on the couch.

"And the cat?" I asked.

"What cat?"

"The one I saved. When can I get him?"

"You're keeping it? I'll just buy you another one," he said and got up so I did too.

"No, I want the one I saved."

We went to the kitchen. I sat on one of the barstools while Aden made his way to the fridge.

He sighed. "Okay. I'll tell Hiro to bring the cat to you when it's healed."

"And my car?"

"You don't have one. You crashed yours to Papa's office, remember?" he answered and handed me a glass of blood.

"But how will I go to places?" I hysterically asked.

"Don't be dramatic, Luxe. I asked Papa to get you a new one and I think it should be here next month. Just find a way for the meantime."

"But, Aden---"

"No buts, little missy. Are you hungry? I'll cook something for you before I go."

"Carbonara please." he nodded and started prepping.

I gulped the remaining content of my glass and remembered something.

"Aden,"

"Hmm?"

"You smelled it, right?" he stopped for a bit.

"What about it?" he asked and continued what his doing.

"Why does he smelled different?"

"Some humans have distinct smell in their blood, Luxe. We call them Prime."

"Prime? Why didn't it affect you when it's that good?"

"I had Prime's blood a few years back," he answered and faced me.

"When I say a few years back, I meant a couple of thousand years back. Prime only existed in that long, forgotten time."

What?

"That was the first Prime I encountered after a thousand years. And unfortunately for you, you met one too."

"Unfortunate? How?" he just shrugged his shoulders and went back to what he's doing.

"You should bring your things to your room and clean up. This might take a while so I'll just call you."

I didn't push the question any longer and do what he told me.

I'll give you a bit of a preview of what my condo looks like while I bring my things to my room.

It's a 2-bedroom-type space with a bathroom, wide living room, fully furnished kitchen, pantry, and pool on the balcony overlooking the city.

Aden knows what he's doing when he bought this space.

Master's bedroom, my room, is on the second floor. It has a big bathroom with a tub and shower room. It also has a walk-in closet so I love it since I tend to buy lots of shoes when I see beauty.

After kong mahakot lahat ang gamit ko sa kwarto ay kumuha na ako ng malinis na damit at towel para maglinis ng katawan.

And just after I finished washing, Aden called.

I hurried to the kitchen and sat on the barstool as Aden served me the food.

"Hiro got the cat and he said that it'll take long for the cat to heal."

"How long?"

"Maybe a month or two." I just nodded and continued eating. "Anyway, I have something I forgot to give you."

He went out for a few minutes and got back with a folder in his hand. He placed it on top of the counter.

"Make sure you do this. Papa was the one who gave this." He looked at me. "Don't anger him anymore, Luxe. Who knows where he'll banish you if you don't learn your lesson."

"Fine. Stop nagging. You're like Mama. Jeez."

"I'm not Mama but I'm your older brother so I can still nag you every time you don't behave."

"Stop, Aden. I'm not a dog to behave.  When are you leaving ba?" irita kong tanong.

"I'm leaving now. Ayokong maabutan ng umaga sa daan."

Lumapit ito sa akin at hinalikan ang taas ng ulo ko.

"Behave, Luxe. I'll have Hiro check on you every day. If you do something stupid, he'll know."

"Okay okay, alam ko. Umalis ka na nga!"

He pouted and looked at me with pleading eyes. What's with this dumbass?

"Stop that! You're creeping me out!"

"You won't miss me, little missy?"

"Hell no!"

"You sure? You'll be left alone here. All alone."

"Of course! Just go home, Aden." I shooed him out and then closed the front door. I placed my back on the door.

All alone? Come to think of it, I've never been away from them, ever.

I ran to the balcony and looked below if Aden's car is still there and it is. I scout the whole parking lot if there are humans around and thankfully there's none.

I prepared myself and jumped off the terrace. Oh, I forgot to tell you. My condo is on the 28th floor of the building.

I landed perfectly on the asphalt ground and ran straight to where Aden's car is.

Nakita niya akong palapit sa kotse niya kaya nagmadali itong lumabas ng sasakyan para salubungin ako.

"Why did yo---," I didn't let him finish and just hugged him.

I'll miss this old nagger brother of mine.

Niyakap niya rin ako pabalik. "You jumped off, right?"

"How did you know?"

"You don't have any slippers on." he laughed and hugged me tighter. "I'll miss you, little missy. Please be good para Papa will let you go home agad."

I nodded. "Visit me. I'll die here if you won't."

He laughed again. "I will so stop being dramatic." kumalas na ito sa yakap.

Hinalikan ako nito ulit sa ulo. "Go on. Saka na ako aalis kapag nakita na kita ulit sa balcony ng unit mo."

I smiled at him and walked away. "Hey! Use the main entrance!" habol pa nitong sabi.

No choice, sa main entrance ako dumaan at nagmadaling bumalik sa unit ko. Agad akong pumunta sa balcony at kumaway kay Aden na kinawayan niya naman pabalik.

He drove away after that kaya pumasok na rin ako at nilock ang pinto ng balcony. I went back to the kitchen and saw the folder Aden left me.

He said it was from Papa. What's inside of this?

I cleaned my dishes first and sprinted to my room after. I sat on my bed and opened the folder.

My eyes bawled out the moment I read the content of the folder.

I immediately called Aden that he picked up right after one ring.

"Yes, little missy?" he mockingly asked.

I can imagine that shitty little grin he has on his face right now. I know he's the one who told Papa to do this.

"You'll pay for this, Aden. Just you wait."

Tumawa lang ito.

"What's wrong? It's just school." hindi pa rin nawawala ang pang-aasar sa boses niya.

"Just school? And for what? For HUMANS?"
