Chapter Twenty-Eight Beck I jogged up the steps on the side porch at Maisie’s house, knocking quickly on the kitchen door. I’d dropped Hank off and raced out here. I’d be damned if I was going to let her blow me off. When she didn’t answer, I raised my hand to knock again just as the door swung open.
