Jackson sat on the Luxurious bed, his fingers hovering over the phone as he debated whether to make the call to Amelia or not. But before he could dial, his attention was diverted by a putrid smell that seemed to seep into his nostrils. His face frowned in distaste as he sniffed the air, trying to locate the source of the odor.
His nose twitched, guiding him to the motionless form beside him. Emily, his wife, lay still, her body emitting the foul smell that had caught his attention.
Jackson's eyes widened in alarm as he quickly tapped her shoulder, his touch urgent and insistent.
"Emily, Emily, wake up!" he called out, his voice laced with no concern, as he
