A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. “One second!” I yelled and closed my laptop. I opened the door and saw Thomas with both of my suitcases. “Thomas, I wanted to help with those, we already agreed on that!” I said as he began to push them through the open door. “I know, but I can manage just fine myself” he said with a proud smile. “What a lovely place you’ve found, I understand why you chose it” he said approvingly while looking around my kitchen and dining room. “Thank you. I’m obviously not done decorating. Some plants and decorations would really make the place more homely.” I said, envisioning it in my head. But I quickly shook the thoughts away. “I just don’t know how long I’m staying yet. Buying too much would be a rash decision”.
