My wife was right, as always. Aiden had the right to know, and with Ben's daughter suddenly here, it seemed to be the perfect opportunity to tell him about that day, so many years ago. "Alex was the oldest son, being two years older than Jason. He was going to be the next Alpha of the Shadow Pack, once he grew up. When Alex and Jason were kids, our packs were actually allies. Both packs were thriving and Alpha Caleb and Alpha Benjamin used to be on good terms. But one night, the Shadow Pack was attacked by rogues. Ben had received Alpha Caleb's cry for help earlier that night and led a team of warriors to help them defeat the rogues. Unfortunately, they were also attacked by a group of rogues on the way and we lost many good warriors that night.I don't know what went wrong, but sudd
