The driver handed over the keys to Adrian and then we settled into the car. It was about 8:30 p.m. when we finally left the airport behind.
Adrian glanced over at me, one hand resting casually on the wheel. "We’ll be heading to my private villa. It’s a bit of a drive from the city center, but it's worth the distance."
I nodded. "Okay." After a moment, curiosity got the better of me. "What’s it like?"
He smiled faintly, his eyes on the road. "It’s secluded. Just somewhere chill and comfortable. I bought it a few years ago as a place to go to when work gets a bit too much."
I tilted my head, getting interested. "Do you come here often?"
"Not as much as I’d like," he admitted. "Work usually pulls me back. But when I do, it’s peaceful."
"Sounds nice. Do you have staff there?"
He nodded.
