She met his gaze and eyed him with the same intensity. The prince got affected because those eyes seem so familiar to him, like he saw it before, in a place he couldn’t recall. But he was certain that was the first time he saw her eyes because of their encounter in the forest, she was avoiding his gaze big time. “I order you to tell me their language here. Why don’t I know that?” He asked her. The mysterious girl chuckled, “You’re a prince, but then you don’t have an idea about their language. That’s why you get from always escaping from the palace instead of reading.” He raised his brows on her, “What did you say again? Did you just say that a prince like me doesn’t know a thing?” He shouted and his eyes turned red, an indication that he’s mad. He felt his hands freezing but the mysterious girl is gone and Sid appeared. “Hey moron, what are you doing right here, and why are you talking by yourself? Are you finally out of your mind?” Sid asked him. His hands stopped forming ice spears but his eyes were still fuming red. “Wait a minute, what happened to your eyes? Are you wearing some contact lenses?” she asked him. He was surprised for a second to know that he understood what she said. He roamed his gaze around the field and found the mysterious girl hiding behind a bush. “What are contact lenses?” He acted dumb because she might get suspicious if she knew I understood her now. She laughed, “Your pronunciation is getting better. Anyway, that was nothing. Your eyes are back to being black. Maybe I’m just tired. Let’s go. My practice is done.” He nodded and she turned her back on me, didn’t even offer to help me stand. Tsk. As they walked by, He noticed that Sid was profusely staring at her cellular phone but she would turn it off again. This girl has been teaching me a lot and I’m of not ignorant of things now… He thinks that maybe the mysterious girl is right, that the people in this realm knows about a lot of things even when they are just normal. Their knowledge should not be underestimated. “Why don’t you just call that one you’d been thinking of? So you’d stop turning on and off your phone. Tsk.” I recommended. “Close and open? Where’d you learn those words?” her c***k eyes are now looking at him suspiciously. “I didn’t say such words. Could you please clean your eyes often because I believe you’re becoming deaf now?” He avoided her haze, but when he did so, he saw a van approaching their way and people might get affected. He stopped the time and pushed the van further away from the people. He turned to their position a while ago, besides Sid, and stared at her face, such a beautiful lady but she’s nosy. Women like her in Hanyang are soft-spoken and sweet, but she’s… not. Then his eyes caught her lips. It was slightly opened as if inviting to be kissed. He swallowed hard at the thought. She wouldn’t know if he’d kiss him, right? So the playful side of him tried to kiss him but to no avail; he felt like someone is watching him. He stared at the side and saw a guy peeping. He thought that it’s impossible because he time stop. No one should be moving unless he said so. He smiled and didn’t mind the nosy person. He made the time come back to its track and he felt the blow of the evening wind. “Hey, wait for me.” Sid was screaming again. “You really are so nosy. Can you tone down your voice for a while?” He annoyingly stated and rolled his eyes but he got shocked when Sid was now running and trying to capture him so he did his best to run away. He’s laughing hard as she chased him, as well as Sid who was laughing already. But when they reach home, the brat of a woman that Sis is coming back. She rolled her eyes unto him and left him alone. Minseo laughed at that. “Mama, I’m home.” She removed her shoes and socks as well as her bag and she went to the kitchen. “Oh, where’s Triton?” Her mother asked her which made her frown. “I am your daughter but it you was more concerned of him. What and unfair world?” and jealousy was evident in her tone. “Don’t be such a kid, Sid.” Her mom rolled her eyes, “Where’s Triton? Don’t tell me you left him alone?” asked her mom and eyed her sharply. Triton entered the kitchen and interrupted, “I am here.” Her mom invited Triton to have a seat and offered food to eat, “Come here, Triton. Make yourself comfortable and eat a lot, all right?” Sid was now rolling her eyes and the crease in her forehead looks so deep now. She feels that she’s the outsider in here. “Sure, thank you.” And Triton did so. Daya showed up out of nowhere, “Mama, could you help me with my homework in mathematics? It’s so difficult; I hate my teacher so much.” Sid thought that maybe she came straight from her room. Mama frowned, “Just admit it that you’re just not listening to your teacher.” Sid contradicted and widened her eyes on her. She made an annoying face, “Oh, really Ate, says the one who got straight D in her report card.” Daya counter reacted so Sid just tsked. “What’s that? Let me take a look,” Triton volunteered. “And the legal child is at it again,” Sid whispered by herself but Triton seemed to heard her and winked at her. He got Daya’s notebooks and checked it out. He read something in there and started to write or jot down. After a while, he returned it to Daya with a smiling face. “Wow, you’re so brilliant Kuya! Where did you learn math and calculations? Where did you studied?” Daya’s eyes twinkled in amusement so she tried to butt in. He surely couldn’t remember his past but he can answer that. Tsk.” Daya stuck her tongue out on Sid as she goes out of the kitchen, “You’re just insecure.” “You seemed to be smart, Triton. Do you want to study? I can enroll you in the same school that Sid is attending, and you can also check her out in behalf of me,” Her mom’s eyes is twinkling with adoration toward the guy. Sid couldn’t help but wonder if she’s an adopted child. “It’s okay with me; I also want to meet some new friends.” Triton stated with a bright smile. Sid placed down the fork she was holding and shouted, “Aren’t you even ashamed? Tsk.” She was about to say something but stopped when her mom stuck a rice ball into her mouth, she nearly choked. “I’m not happy with how you treat Triton, Sid. You’re becoming so disrespectful, is that what they teach you at school? I spend money for you so you don’t have the right to question me as to whom I want to spend my money. I didn’t raise you that way.” And now, her mom was fuming mad and disappointed so she just pouted. But when she looks at Triton, her face brightened in an instant. “Do you want to go to school starting tomorrow? I can call the school management to enroll, they know me anyway.” Her mom smiled sweetly. Triton smiled back at her mom before he looks at Sid and his smile faded, “Never mind it, Ma’am. It seems like Sid doesn’t want me to go in the same school as hers.” He said that caused Sid to drink a full glass of water because of the guilt. Her mom cleared her throat, “No, I insist. I want to study there… and I think that you’ll be the first one to bring home a medal from school and not just from dancing or letters from the guidance counselor.” She’s smiling while saying that. Sid can’t help but to cough at that knowing that she’s the one bringing home a letter from the guidance office. “Oh, sure Ma’am, I will make you proud,” said the plastic two-faced guy with the brightest smile in the world and the most expressive eyes that I wanted to stab with fork. “Don’t call me ma’am, call me mama.” “Yes, Mama.” Tsk. Sid thought. We just finished having our dinner. I am also done taking a bath and do the things that I need to do. I sat down at the bed and got the box that Grant gave me. I automatically smiled at the thought of Grant. I opened the box and saw a necklace with a snow pendant. "Whoa, it’s cute!” I took a selfie and sent it to Grant with a caption of: Thank you for this cute necklace, Grant. I appreciate. I screamed in romantic excitement, I’m sure I’m blushing right now. Who wouldn’t be when your crush gave you a gift? My phone vibrated and I saw his reply: That’s not the necklace that I gave you. I frowned and replied: What do you mean? This is the necklace inside the box.” Grant: The pendant isn’t snow, its love. I blushed at that, love as in heart? Why would he give me such? Me: Love as in a heart shaped pendant? Grant: No, let’s talk tomorrow. Me: Okay. Goodnight, Grant!” I removed the necklace right away and returned it to the box. I stood up and walked outside the house and I’m about to throw it when someone held my wrist, “What do you think you’re doing?” It was Triton. I annoyingly look at him because my blood suddenly boiled. “It’s not of your business. I’ll do whatever I want so don’t bother stop me, and this is a trash. I don’t even know who gave this.” I removed his grip on my wrist. He laughed mercilessly, “You’re really something. I advise you keep that even if that’s a trash for you.” He emphasized the word trash. I raised my brows on him, “And why do you want me to keep this?” “Just do so.” He was about to turn his back on me but I stopped him. I smirked at him and said, “Here, keep it if you want.” and left him instead. I believe I am kind but I can also be a b***h at times. I am the type of person that when I’m not in the mood, I totally forget and care about the feelings of a person. I hate that part of me, but it’s already a part of me. Just so be it. Why would he want me to keep it anyway? I don’t even know who gave it. Don’t tell me it’s from him? If so, then Grant’s necklace must be with him? I shook my head, impossible. What would he do with it? I rested on my bed and called my best friend Sarah, “Hello?” I heard a door closed, “Hey, Sid, what’s up? Are you going to ask me about the homework again?” She laughed. I sighed and said, “Nah.” She told me to go to bed since we still have classes tomorrow but I just pouted with that, “Even if I go early tomorrow, you’d still be late and you’ll ask me to wait for you at the entrance again.” She chuckled, “Of course, pretty ladies must be accompanied.” I laughed as well, “Tsk. Okay, I’ll hang up now.” She yawned, “Goodnight, Sid, see you tomorrow.” “Goodnight, Sarah.” I hang up the call and closed my eyes. Why do I feel so tired tonight? I opened my eyes when someone opened the door, “Are you mad?” of course, it’s Triton. I covered myself with the comforter, “Why are you here? I locked the door, right? Don’t tell me you have a spare key?” He rolled his eyes on me and asked me again, “Just answer me, are you mad? I tusked and answered, “No.” "I can read your mind." "If you can read my mind then what's the use of asking me? Go to your room Triton. I'm tired. Let me rest." I whispered. "Why are you acting like this, Yveon?" I chuckled and sited on my bed, "Now you're calling me Yveon? Anyway, we’re not even close for you to call me Sid." "Just answer my question, Yveon." I could sense the danger in his voice and I think I saw his eyes changing from black to red. What’s really up with this guy? "I don't like you, Triton. I don't like your presence. I don't like your existence. I dislike you, that are the answer, and i don't know why." He calmed down and I saw his eyes becoming color brown again. What the hell is happening on his eyes? "That's the sweetest word I’ve ever heard, Yveon. Thanks for that. Go to sleep. Rest well. We'll go to school tomorrow." He smiled at me without the joy in his eyes. I hate that his eyes are so much expressive. He was about to close the door when he spoke, "Even if you dislike me. I'll do everything for you to like me. Trust me." He stared at me and I would swear to God that his pupils are color brown with a highlight of green. "Your eyes…" I pointed out. "Don't mind it. Sleep now, Yveon." He smiled once more and I could only hear the sounds of his footsteps away from my room. They say that humans are technically sinful beings, and when they do something unpleasing, they tend to apologize for the thing they did… without being sincere. But in my case, I do not apologize when I know my heart isn’t at peace. I don’t know but I feel ashamed. I could feel guilty of the things I uttered last night but I couldn’t apologize properly. Did I cross the line with my words? One more thing, I was just being honest and true to myself, that I dislike him because I feel like Mama’s attention is all with him. But was it good to be honest in the avail of hurting one’s feelings? Was it worth it or just plain selfishness? Should I apologize? I should, right? I sighed and fixed my uniform instead. I applied powder on my face and a bit of lip balm. Because of what happened last night, I am actually feeling awkward around him. "Just relax, Sid. Relax yourself. This is your house. I mean, this is your Mom's house. You're the legal daughter and he's just a visitor who’s partially living here. You have more right than him so you should not be ashamed of.” I tried to calm myself. I stood up and went out of my room. I probably look like a ninja now because I’m checking if he’s around the parameter. “Good morning, Sid! Eat first before you go to school.” Mama invited me which I nodded. I started eating and wonder what miracle happened as Daya is up early. Of course she’s always late. “What have you eaten and you’re early today?” I asked her. She stopped eating and smiled sweetly at me. “Today is Kuya Triton’s first day in class so I wanted to impress him and make a difference. I will accompany him on his first day.” I felt like I wanted to vomit on what she said. We started to argue like the usual and mama stopped as. I roamed my eyes and it stopped on a handsome guy walking down the stairs. I mean, it’s not that he’s handsome but I got speechless with his transformation. He could be compared to Grant’s appeal but Grant is still much more than him. “Kuya Triton, is that really you? I don’t know but you became more handsome to my eyes.” Daya said fan girl-ing on his Kuya Triton. Tsk. Isn’t she aware that she’s still a kid and their age gaps are more than five years? I am also sure you’re not his type because you’re still young. I heard Triton’s laugh that sounds like the most perfect laugh in the world. It was so delicate to hear, but Grant’s laugh is still so much more. Grant is almost perfect. If he’s not the one for me, then just kiss me now. Just kidding! “All thanks to Mama. Does it suit me well?” He asked not looking at me. Daya’s smiled widened, “It suits you well, Kuya… but can I stop on calling you Kuya? I think it’s better to call you baby- ouch Mama! I was just kidding.” She pouted when mama threw her a spoon. I stuck out my tongue on her but stopped halfway when I saw Triton staring at me. “You’re still so young Daya. What nonsense are you saying? You should focus on your studies more.” Mama said which made me laugh but my laugh must have been loud that it caught their attentions. “What?’ I asked and rolled my eyes. Mama told her to use her car since it’s her day off. She asked me to drop off Daya first and I’ll accompany Triton. I nodded because it’s a hassle to commute. But Mom’s decision must be changed by some bad spirits because she told us that Triton would drive the car. I glared at Triton, “You? Are you sure you know how to drive?” I asked speculatively. He nodded and stared back at me, “I know how to drive, are you doubting me? Don’t you trust me?” I rolled my eyes in annoyance. What’s up with that guy? We rode the car silently, I mean, I was silent but Daya and he were talking.” Daya was seated in the front seat anyway. When we were already at the entrance of the school, I heard Daya with her annoying voice trying to act cute, “Kuya Triton, could you accompany me till my room? Because my teacher might get mad because I’m late.” I rolled my eyes to that and interrupted, “Daya, your class starts at 8:30 AM and it’s still 7:40 AM so you’re still early for class.” She eyed me but I didn’t mind. Triton, being the plastic two-faced of a person that he is, gave in to Daya’s request. “Sure, I’ll accompany you.” He smiled which made Daya giggled. They went out of the car but I was shocked when Triton’s head popped at the window out of nowhere. He smirked when he notice that I was startled, “Just wait for me here, Yveon.” As to which I nodded. I saw him carrying Daya in his arms and I wanted to throw my shoes at Daya. I started to chew a candy to buy time, but as I saw my phone, I suddenly remembered Grant which made me choked. I cough hard at that and got myself to drink a lot of water. What the f**k. I would always do stupid things with regards to Grant. “Let’s go.” I turned around and saw Triton, I nodded and he entered the driver’s seat. As he was driving, I remembered out conversation last night. I suddenly felt ashamed now that it’s just the two of us. This is now my time to apologize, but how? I took a deep sigh. “Are you okay?” He asked, worried of me. “Do you have any problem?” He continued. I shook my head, “None.” As to which he just nodded and just focused on driving. When we reach the school, I told him where the parking lot is and we came down. I checked on my phone and wallet, and I got my phone right away. But my wallet is nowhere to be found. Maybe I left it in the house. “What’s the matter?” "I left my wallet. Give me the key. I’ll go home and get it.” He shook his head, “No, I’ll get it for you. Where did you leave it?” “In the kitchen table,” I answered. He roared the engine and in a few, he was gone. “Hey, are you alone?” I found the face of the voice and smiled. “Hey, Grant. I have-“ “Let’s talk about the necklace, but not here.” He cut off what I’m about to say and pulled me out of there because her fans are starting to flock around. We went besides the college building and talked, “Oh, I’m sorry if I lost your necklace. I didn’t really know it’ll happen.” I apologized and avoided his grazed. “It’s okay, no worried.” He smiled at me- he smiled at me! My eyes widened at that! He cough before talking, I am still dumbfounded but his smile. He fished a purple velvet box in his pocket and got a bracelet, “By the way, this is yours now.” We stared at each other’s eyes and avoided it right away. What an awkward situation. “Uh, mine? You’re giving that to me?” “Tell me if you don’t like it.” I can sense the sadness in his voice. I got it from his hand and wore it. “Nope, this is now mine.” He smiled, “Do you like it?” he asked staring intently at me. I returned his smile and nodded, “Yup, I like anything that’s from you.” I rested on the trunk of the tree as I try to calm by beating heart. I was surprised when he laughed out loud and slaps me on the forehead, “You haven’t changed at all, and you still blush and stutter when you talk to me. Do you like me that much?” He asked me which made me widened my eyes. “Just kidding, loosen up. You look so serious. I know that you don’t like me.” He continued which made me laugh awkwardly. “What nonsense are you saying? Of course I like you, I just couldn’t tell you.” I whispered to myself. “Anyway, take care of that bracelet. Don’t you dare misplace it or I’ll really be mad at you.” He warned me. “Of course I won’t, I promise.” He told me that his mom gave him that and told him that he should only give it to person he treasures the most… and that’s me. “Oh, I forgot to say that Mom wants to have dinner with you. I’ll just inform you when.” Then we walked back to the room. I was smiling from ear to ear while walking and I almost want to kiss the bracelet he gave me. This is the first gift that I got from him, except for the lost necklace of course. “You look so happy, Yveon! You almost look like you’re out of your mind.” I hissed at Triton but he gave me my wallet, “Here’s your wallet.” “Thanks!” I said. He nodded at me and invited me inside the classroom because apparently, Grant was nowhere to be found already. He turned his back on me and started to walk away, “Wait.” I stopped him. He just look at me and waited what I was about to tell him. “I’m sorry…” I looked down at the ground. “I’m sorry about last night, for the things that I told you. I didn’t mean to offe-“I was caught off guard when he placed his arm over my shoulder. I stared at him and he smiled, “It’s all right, Yveon.” I hit his arm so hard when he tried to choke me with his muscles. “Get off of me, moron!” but he just laughed at me and pulled me with me. “Let’s go, we might get late on our first class.” “The moment you let me go, I swear I’d kill you.” I warned him. He acted like he was thinking, “Then that’s more reason for me not to release you.” And he laughed out loud. “For the transferee, please come forward and introduce yourself.” I look at Triton as he stood on his seat. I acted like I was about to punch him before he went in front. “Who is he, Sid? Do you know him? Sarah asked; she even exchanges her seat just to gossip with me. My seatmate, Harry, didn’t mind anyway. I shook my head, “Nah, I just met him today.” I denied. She playfully poked my waist, “I don’t believe you. Introduce me to him, Sid. He’s so hot.” She whispered to me her last words which made us giggle. Our girl classmates are all silently screaming and staring dreamily at Triton as he stood in front, “Good morning, everyone. My name is Triton Samonte. I hope we can be friends.” He showed his killer smile which made my classmates giggle. “You’re so attractive!” “Marry me, Triton!” “You’re such a catch!” “I think that you’re already the hotdog to my breadpan!” I smiled wryly as I heard them saying nonsense things, really people? “Listen everyone,” Ma’am shouted which made them shut their mouth but it was still obvious that they were talking about him. I felt that someone was looking at me so I turned to my left, only to catch Grant staring intently at me. When I caught him, he avoided my gaze and look in front. I pouted and whispered to myself, “You’re still my one and only, Grant.” But unfortunately Sarah heard me and slapped my hard on my arm. “Could you please shut it already? You’ll only hurt yourself in the process.” She rolled her eyes on me and I was quick to show her my bracelet. “Can you see this? Grant gave this to me, so don’t tell me that we don’t stand a change.” I stuck out my tongue on her which made her laugh. “Nah, I won’t believe. Show me your proofs first,” She teases me more. I rolled my eyes on her and just waited for the class to end. Soon enough it ended already. I turned to face Sarah, “What do you want to eat?” I asked her. She was acting like she’s thinking with her forefinger over her head, “I wanted to eat a vegetable sandwich, I’ve been craving for it since yesterday night but our house helper doesn’t know how to do such.” I nodded at her and got my bag, “All right then.” “Grant, let’s eat our lunch together.” “Triton, would you like to join us?” “Grant, I’ll treat you for lunch.” So these fan girls are really at it, they’re really willing to spend money for guys. I sigh. We were about to go out of the room when Triton saw us, “Can I join you for lunch, Yveon?” I saw Grant watching us so I couldn’t really focus on his words. What was that again? Sarah elbowed me, “Hey, Sid! He’s asking you.” I faced triton this time, “Pardon?” He scratched his hair, “Is it okay to have lunch with you guys?” to which I nodded. “Fine...” "Let's go!" Sarah stated happily as he pulled us out of the classroom. She’s such a kid. “Let’s go and find a table for us. There are a lot of students and it’s kind of crowded,” Triton complained. I smiled at the old lady and got my ordered food. We went to a vacant four-chaired table at the end of the cafeteria. I tried to look for Grant but to no avail. I heaved a sigh. “Can I sit beside you?” asked Triton who is still standing. I took a look at Sarah and she just smiled maliciously. He signaled me a wink which means a lot of things. I rolled my eyes on her and faced Triton, “Yes-“ My words were cut off when someone pushed Triton and seated next to me. I was surprised to see that it was Grant. Is see somewhat a mushroom that can be seen out of nowhere? “You’re too slow, so I’ll be the one to sit here. There’s still a vacant chair though, you can sit there.” Grant smirked at Triton and started eating beside me. Sarah was surprised as well but was quick to smile with wide eyes. Triton seated beside her. “Aren’t you going to eat?” asked Grant. I didn’t notice that I was staring at him for too long, “Do you want me to feed you?” he continued which made me choke on my own saliva. I shook my head and just started eating. They noticed my uneasiness which made Grant smirked and Triton to roll his eyes. “I’m starting to be insecure, Sid. I hope someone who’d also ask me if he could feel me,” and then she laugh like crazy. We were all eating quietly when all of a sudden someone called my name, “Sid.” It was Raphael the weirdo again, “Here’s a gift for you.” I was about to get it when someone got it first. Raphael smirked then bid goodbye right away. I look at Triton and saw him frowning while trying to open the box. “What the f**k is this?” he asked and placed a purple colored towel and a card. “I hope you use this towel. I know your favorite color is violet,” Triton read what’s stated in the card. "Holy cow, it’s violet!” Sarah stated. Grant was looking at me now, “Did your favorite color changed? I thought it is color gray.” He asked me as to which I nodded. I faced Sarah and handed her the towel, “Take it; I know that this is your favorite color.” She got it from me and was smiling so wide. “Thanks, Sid! You’re really the best of the best friend in the whole wide world!” She even clapped her hands in excitement. “You’re welcome, no worries.” I said and smiled. Grant spoke out of nowhere, “It is good.” “The food is good?”
