I slammed the heavy door of my chambers shut and paced the length of the room like a beast trapped in a cage.
Fool.
I had lost control in the library. One brush of her lips against mine and the mate bond had nearly consumed me. She was just a nameless creature I had dragged from the forest, bleeding and broken. Claiming her would mean accepting the bond the Moon Goddess had forced upon me, and I was not ready to do that. I did not need a Luna. Especially not a wolfless one.
