Chapter 18

I decided not to update here anymore because I am still busy and currently updating a story on a different application, and I hardly have time to go here.  Casler's POV

After a long talk with my parents, I realized that there is no way out of this. I have to stay here. Not because I want to but because I need to. I made up my mind to leave but lucky for him my parents talked to me.

They were mad, yes but still they didn’t give me much choice. I still need to get marked and be the Luna here.

“I still will” I said as they all looked at me. My eyes are puffy, I feel it.

“Thank goodness! I thought you changed your mind” Bryan said

“Come on let’s eat” Alex said

I did sit down so did my parents. I sat down between them. The dinner was quiet and finished immediately

“We’ll leave you guys to talk” Aunt Rose said

“There’s nothing to talk about….mo---mom. I am tired. Excuse me” I said and stood up

My Mom held my hand to stop me. I looked at her

“Honey just please listen” she begged me

I sighed and sat back down.

They all left one by one. Soon, only me and James are left at the table.

“Talk” I plainly said

“She kissed me. I didn’t  kissed back. I even almost killed her for it. Please, I am so sorry for what happened.” He was straightforward and kept his explanation simple

But my stubborn ass is still not convinced. I hated that I have trust issues. Never have I ever experienced being cheated on but I still feel like I did before.

“Are you done?” I asked yawning

“Yes” from the moment he said that, I stood up and walk out of the kitchen. As expected they were all waiting near the door

I didn’t stop, I just went straight for the guest room and locked the door. I guess I’ll be sleeping alone today.

But before going to bed I mind linked my brother.

“Alex, can you ask one of the omegas to bring back my stuff here at my room tomorrow morning?”

“Okay, Good Night, I love you. If you need anything just call for me. Okay?”

“Thank you. Good Night, I love you too”

And shut the mind link off.

I have been trying to sleep for an hour now and still none.

“Hey Crystal, do you want to go for a run?” I ask but she didn’t answer. I guess she’s still upset.

I sighed and opened the window. I jumped and landed on my feet. It wasn’t that high so I managed. I ran into the woods and trying to find my way to the river. Not long after I arrived.

I now see some tables and benches near the river. I wonder who did that. I decided to seat on the rocks and let my feet be in the water. It refreshes me.

“Damien I know you’re there” I said, looking at my feet

“Damn, you recognize my smell now” he said as he got near me

I sighed

“Hey, you’re not smiling. Why?” he asked with a frown

“Nothing” I said

“You can’t hide anything from me” he said

“I was just wondering how to control my powers, do you know who can help me with it?” I ask

He was silent. I looked at him and I see he is thinking about something.

I tried to read his mind but couldn’t. Weird.

“I think I can help you” he suddenly said

“How?” I asked

“What power can you show me now?” he asked

“I’m mad, so maybe heat?” I said

“Try it” He said

I try to think about what happened. How I felt so betrayed. I close my eyes and feel the power taking my body. I open my eyes

“Don’t touch me” I warned him

“Okay try to concentrate and put all the heat on your hand.”

I looked at him confused. “How the hell do I do that?”

“Concentrate Casler” we said with a hint of command in his voice

I nodded. I try to focus on putting all my energy in my hand

“It’s working keep on doing that” he said

I close my eyes and breathe in and out.

Then suddenly he touched me. I opened my eyes.

“You’re not burning” I said

He chuckled “Yep, it’s all in your hand. Try to touch that rock” he said and pointed a big rock. I did what he told me.

“See it’s still in your hand. Now, to make it disappear. Focus.” He said and I close my eyes again

Then I felt my powers fading away. Until I feel nothing,

“See, you can do it with the right person” he said smiling at me

I was so happy and hugged him.

“Thank you!” I said

“You’re always welcome” He said

“You really have to show yourselves to them now. I need you more than ever, Savy, the witch who was helping me, left for a while. I need you to train me more” I try to convince him

“Let me think about it. I’ll give you an answer, the day after tomorrow. Let’s wait for you to be crowned as Luna first” he said

“Okay”

“Now go back you sneaky wolf” he said shooing me away

I glared at him and hugged him once again. Then I ran back on the pack house, entering through the front door.

I immediately mind linked Alex and Bryan, who was probably asleep by now but they still came down.

“What’s going on?” Alex whispered

“Guess what I manage to control heat!” I excitedly whispered

“Really? How? Alex asked

Bryan didn’t talk. He’s a sleepy head.

“Damien, the Vampire friend I was talking about helped me!” I almost shouted

Bryan became alert “What? You met him again today? At this time? Why is he always there outside? Creepy.”

I rolled my eyes. “He is nice, not like someone I know”

“Well that’s great to hear. But tell us more about tomorrow. You need to sleep now, remember the coronation. Okay?” Alex said as he kissed my temples

I nodded. We three went back upstairs and said our goodnights. I went to my room and showered for a bit. Got to bed and sleep.

I woke up feeling someone beside me. I look over who it is and it was Lily.

“You’re a heavy sleeper” she pouted

I chuckled “I’m sorry”

I sit up. “So what got you here this early?”

“I’m scared. There’s a Vampire downstairs” the moment she mentioned Vampires my eyes widen. Damien told me he would come here the day after my coronation.

I mind link my brother to see what’s going on.

“Alex”

“Good you’re awake. Come down here. Someone wants to see you”

I got up and change.

“Lily, come down with me. Don’t be afraid. I’ll protect you” I said and she held my hand tight as we walk hand in hand going to the living room.

Cole immediately took Lily away. And I look over who it was expecting it to be Damien but it was not. He looks like him but smells different.

“You must be Casler. Damien told me a lot about you” he said smiling at me

“Yes. Uhm, sorry, you are?” I asked

“Where are my manners. Damien’s father, Felipe. You’ve grown so much! Look at you, the first time I saw you, you were really tiny” he smiled

“So Uncle Felipe then?” I asked

Somehow my heart is thumping with excitement.

“Oh goodness no, Felipe is fine. Don’t want to sound old” and I chuckled

“What brings you here?” I asked

“Curious now, aren’t we. Well, I heard you were going to be the Luna, that’s why I am here. I wouldn’t miss it. I know you have a father, but hey you three now!” He said cheerfully

“I can’t really believe you’re leading the Vampires” Bryan said

“I am. Some still hate you though. I can’t change their minds.” He said seriously

“Where’s Damien?” I asked

I heard a low growl and I knew who it was from. I can’t ignore it anymore.

“Relax, I was just asking, it’s not like I kissed him in-front of you” I snapped

“He said he’ll meet you after the coronation. I was supposed to meet you after but I couldn’t help it.” He said and I chuckled

“So you’re going to stay here until my coronation tonight?”

“Oh no, I just went to see you. I’ll be leaving now. And come back tomorrow with Damien” He said and I nodded, then he’s gone.

“Why are you meeting them Dear?” Aunt Rose asked

“Damien helped me last night to control one of my powers. So while Savy is out, I decided to train with him. Temporarily” I answered

The day went by so fast with me avoiding James. Whenever I see him, I turn away. I don’t like it when I see him. I am still upset about yesterday. I can’t still believe it.

We are now standing in stage. With everyone in the Pack. This was the final step. We need to announce that we accept each other then the mark comes in. And done.

“I, James Knight, Alpha of the Silver Lake Pack accept you, Casler Oli, as my one true love, my mate and my Luna”

“I, Casler Oli, Daugther of David Oli, from the Red Moon Pack accept you, James Knight as my mate and Alpha”

The pack howled with excitement and joy. Someone even shouted “FINALLY!”

We were about to mark each other and I am f*****g nervous all of a sudden.

“Relax” Crystal said

Here we go. I marked him first. And I felt him shivered. Then it was his turn. He sunked his canine teeth to my neck and felt it.

Then I feel a really strong pull towards him.

“Oh s**t”
