Ramirez and I were in the office loading our guns, filling our holsters, and hiding knives around our bodies. We still hadn't heard where Ravyn was but we got a text stating that she was spotted. Figured we would get ready while we waited to hear back in case we were needed.
"Any word?" I heard Renée behind me, causing me to turn and look over at her as she stood in the doorway with worry on her face.
I'm sure seeing us getting ready like this is probably putting worry in her mind.
