Ryker's POV:
We had barely ended our argument when Detective Thomas' phone on the nightstand started to ring. He looked over at me one last time, almost as if he was making sure I wasn't going to do anything more before he grabbed the side of the bed and pulled himself up so he could sit on the edge. He looked over at his phone to see who it was and quickly grabbed it to put it to his ear.
"Detective Thomas," He said into the phone as he looked over at me.
"Are you sure it was him?" He asked, looking away from me and at the wall.
"Did you catch any of their conversations?" He asked and he sighed as he listened to whoever was on the phone.
"Then you can't confirm that it was a success." He told him as he looked back over at me.
"Until we know for sure, continue as before." He responde
