THE CRAZY HOUSE.

CHAPTER 3

"This journey looks to be taken forever!" "Zip it Chloe! Don't you know that we have been living in the countryside and now we are moving to town, such journeys are often long." interrupted Patrick. " You really think I could believe what your fat head tells me?!" " Remind me please!..of a girl who has been acting like everything is a surprise to her and the reward she gets when a heavy slap pulls her back in line with the real fact!! ha! ha! haa!" "You think your some kind of Genius yet you even fear ghosts so much that you fear your own shadow!" she said out of embarrassment. " Enough !!?" interrupted Allen "The next time I hear a word from you two Charcoal heads I'm going to glue you to the van's ceiling! here! see,I have it." as she pulled one from the backpack. "You will look like a bunch of sticky notes on the wall." she added. Moments later. "Do you mind. if we take a stop over by that gas station right over there?" " Yes, ma'am. " Tom replied. He then came to a halt.

" Look everyone, I'm going to step out for a minute for some snacks, I know what you all like so don't mind about the shopping list. In the meantime, you can chew on your lips as I come." Patrick chuckled. she then dashed into the supermarket. Tom stepped out too and headed to the same direction. After about 5 minutes, Allen was loaded with all kinds of snacks her family loved, everyone's hopes returned Chloe ate crisps, Patrick ate a doughnut, with some butter on it, Craig and the kids ate bread until the last swallowed. Afterwards their eating was accompanied by a fuzzy drink which soaked what hey had eaten. After everyone was done masticating, Tom returned to the van while panting and sweating with a heavy bag of junk food. It was a super massive burger the size of a football ball .Everyone in the van felt concerned. "Are you sure you're going to finish all that?" ask Craig. "Yes and I think this is not enough actually." Craig was stunned , he looked back at his family. "Never eat like this hippie if you want to be at peace, you'll become like this man, you will suffer with bulkiness and being porky. "I don't wish, said Patrick." "Then eat healthily, okay?! Eat to live not like this guy he lives to eat."

Tom felt out of place, he stepped out of the van to finish his meal and then he threw the garbage into the trash can." Just before he could enter the van, security guards surrounded him that he had no place to hide. Handcuffs were tied at his hands and on hearing the noise, Craig rolled down the car window and he interrupted. " What is going on here?! security guard, I demand an explanation!" but the officer looked serious. Then he faced Tom "I thought you are supposed to drive us now." " This man refused to pay for his goods in the supermarket." a crooked voice was heard. It was from one of the guards. "Ah!" he sighed "here, have the money, take and let him go." said Craig. Tom was released but Craig was not pleased at all. "I am very disappointed in you Tom, why didn't you tell me to buy you something?" "That's because you told me that I will get paid once we reach the destination yet I had no money." "Well, you never told me that, otherwise I would have helped you." Craig never liked his friend's behaviors especially when they were still boarding friends since they one day escaped from school and went off to a casino for a chance to win money, luckily they go to what they wanted but they never returned the next term since they were expelled. Tom's life was wasted meanwhile Craig's life kept on progressing since his father had left behind a lot of money for him to finish his studies. Tom looked embarrassed and small. A few moments later cherry and Joe dozed off.

As Chloe kept on forcing her phone back to life Patrick's heart felt concerned about what the ghost said about finding the children who would live in the house they had left. "Is anyone of you bothered about what the ghost said back there?" " no! no! no! no way...there's no way anyone could believe what that freaking ghost said. As a matter of fact, they are mindless and will never be updated about the current trends in the world. They are just strangely ignorant, God curse those anomalies!!" "They are always like that, they like to scare you and your tears are their happiness. if you try to follow and believe in them, you will soon be used by them, that's what killed my father, he was carried away by the ghosts convincement that made him to be possessed by the ghost and that's why he had to die to save others and especially me." said Craig. " Wow? dad, your dad was really a ghost hunter, but I'm surprised, you have never told me anything about your ghost secrets" said Patrick. "Secrets have perfect times for their reveal and indeed it has finally come." continued Craig. Before he could look any further he checked his phone, it was almost 10:30am. "I thought we will be there by 9:00am. How much longer?" " just about a kilometer but the traffic jam on the road is taking forever." said Tom As he beeped the car several times. Everyone looked hopeless sad Craig decided to turn on the radio so as to kill the silence."

Tom carried on with the driving and despite the traffic jam, he was able to reach the house with the address Craig had told him. He beeped the car. "Hello?!! looks like you have a new place to call home." said Tom." Well, this one looks like the owners are moving away. everyone looked outside the van window." Oh my god! that's one nice castle, I feel like I'm in love with the new house." said Chloe. Craig's site left him breathless as he was more concerned about the people in the house - Everyone stepped out and they off loaded their luggage. "Wow! Craig, this one looks a bit much nicer than the other one." said Tom. " Are we at the right house?" asked Craig. "According to the address, yes." " Why are there people in the house? They look to be moving in and out." said Craig. "Maybe it's better you ask that scavenger guy over there." " No! I need to speak to that new owner of that house." as he headed towards the door and sounded the alarm to his surprise, an extremely fat man with a wedged head, large eyes, a short fat neck showed up at the door. His eyes extended gracefully to the forehead and his lips slept bulkily on his set of teeth. "Can I help you sir? "he asked in a hoarse voice. Craig was carried away at stood in front of him, he had never seen such a man in his life, he seemed to occupy the whole door that he could barely have a glimpse at the nature of the house inside. " Good morning sir, I happen to have plans of staying in this house and I have just reported." " Sorry sir, this house was already taken, we also got it by chance but there is a house I know it's like 10 blocks from here." Craig had nothing to do. He told his family about it and soon did as the man had told him. The good thing Craig hadn't yet paid for the house. After 10 minutes, they arrived where he had been directed and he never bothered stepping out of the van, the house seemed to be taken. "Oh my God! People seem to have increased in this town." he commented out of frustration. For the next hour, they drove all around town seeking for an empty house to stay, despite the anger he felt he was still brave that they would find a new home. and soon his anger turned to hunger. They decided to eat from a nearby restaurant. Everyone looked sad and hungry. "Everything is going to be alright, let's first eat and we will figure everything out. Promise me that you will all stay happy until we get a new house." He told his family to revive their lost hearts as they waited to be served. A waitress came to attend to them and noticed how sad Cherry was. " Why are you sad young girl?" " We don't have a place to stay!" " Oh I'm sure you will, there's a house that hasn't been occupied it's just almost away from this town just when you are about to reach the countryside its next to Grova...something but be careful if you really want a place to stay, I bet you should try out that place she gave them the address and then went away after serving them.
