Chapter eighteen

Dotun’s PoV

Back at my empty house I thought of my dad’s life and wondered if mine would turn out same, Dad abandon us when I was little, he remarried twice but none worked out, we his children were already old enough to stand on our own when he came begging, it was as I'd he wanted mum to suffer and toil alone raising us, now he was back to enjoy with mum all she had worked for but she forgave him and asked us to do same, will I also become a beggar to my kids, I really want to be in their lives, I don't want to miss out on their life like my Dad did.

my mind went back to the kids I saw the other day, something tells me to speak with my friend about it and also send Ire’s picture, perhaps he may know her or even my kids, it's along shot but I take whatever I can get at this point, I quickly dialled his number and he picked up on the second ring, he started talking before I could say hello "hey Dee, how's it going, thanks for your help the other day, I couldn't get a hold of any of our friend so I had no choice but to call you"

I quickly cut in at this point, " this is the reason calling actually, I want to send you my wife's picture, I know you couldn't make it to our wedding then so you might not know her, I need you to look around your city and your kids school for me, something tells me she is hiding in place sight, I know it sounds crazy but the other day I saw two kids that are just about my kids age, their back was to me so I couldn't see their face but I feel they may be my kids" there was silent on the other end before I heard him say alright man.

I let out my breath that I didn't realise I was holding and ended the call and for the first time in a long time I feel like i was on the right track, I heaved a sigh of relief and sent Ire’s picture to him soon, I dozed off and was waken up by the ringing of my phone, it was my friend calling me back so soon, my heart was pounding, I thought my chest would open up with the pounding of my heart, I picked up and he said, wow, have been seeing this woman for sometime now at my kids school, she comes to pick two kids and also comes to drop them, at first I wasn't too sure, so I sent her picture to my wife who confirmed she waa Eddy's Mum, Eddy is a friend to my boy so I know. I was so elated I could hear my heart pounding louder than it was before, I didn't think it will be this easy to find them, trying so hard before and it didn't work out and just simply like this things are falling into place, my friend probably thought have disconnected the call cause he started saying hello, hello and on the third hello I responded, thanks alot man, thank you so much but how can I trace them now, do you by chance know where they live, he said as a matter of fact I do.

wow finally I get to see my kids and wife. oh am so happy right now.
