“What’s our next schedule?”
Jae Kyung was really worried if she’s sweating on her palm. They went to an important meeting and all of the people’s and officials’ eyes were on them, especially on her but she didn’t have a choice but to either cling to Prince Yi Eul’s arm or let him hold her hand.
As soon as they went out of the building where they actually attended the meeting, all the media and journalists' cameras were on them. Some of them even push each other just to get an interview with the royal couple.
Of course, Jae Kyung knew that. She also did that just to get to the Crown Prince up-close to interview him.
“His Highness, Prince Yi Eul is here.”
Jae Kyung was stunned when she saw the Crown Prince’s face, wearing the elegant and expensive Imperial traditional garment of the Crown Prince. She couldn’t help but stare in awe at the Crown Prince’s face. Even though the Prince is not smiling, she can’t deny that this man is handsome as hell.
She was really expecting that the Crown Prince is an old hag but she was indeed surprised that His Highness is just about her age.
How could someone be so handsome?
Suddenly, all of the reporters behind them were now pushing them to replace them on their spot which is the front row. She almost fell on where she’s standing when she got pushed behind.
Jae Kyung gasped when she felt another push to make her move backward. She gritted her teeth. This is her chance and big break to interview the Crown Prince and she will never let these competitors of her ruin it.
With all her might and persistence, she shoved herself in front along with Min Ho which she successfully did, timing that the Crown Prince passed by.
“Min Ho, picture!” she said abruptly as she outstretched her hand to the Crown Prince who’s now looking at her blankly.
She gulped because of the Crown Prince intimidating aura that almost made her legs wobble but she set it aside, wanting to accomplish her agenda. “S-Seja-jeonha, how are you feeling that you finally came back here to Korea after years?”
The Crown Prince stared at her coldly as he smirked. “Nothing special, just like talking to a petty journalist like you who has nothing to do in life but invading someone’s privacy.”
Jae Kyung mouth was once again ajar as she frowned while looking at the Crown Prince’s cold expression.
Jae Kyung subconsciously chuckled that even Prince Yi Eul turned his head towards her. He even stopped waving at the people around them. “What?”
“Huh?” Jae Kyung asked him, finally meeting his gaze. When she actually got what he’s trying to ask. She shook her head. “Nothing. I just remembered something. And why are you even asking? Is not that important, you know?”
“Okay, fine. Whatever.”
“Your next schedule is your archery, Your Highness,” Secretary Jeong finally said when Jae Kyung and Prince Yi Eul finally went silent. “Her Highness doesn’t have any schedules except for your dinner appointment with Shin family.”
Jae Kyung looked at him then at Prince Yi Eul who was silently walking towards the car. It’s his mom’s family.
“That’s great,” Prince Yi Eul responded with a nod then they proceed to walk towards the car and took their leave.
“I told you, no. You can go back home.”
Jae Kyung kept on staring at Prince Yi Eul with a pleading look on her face. They’re currently inside the car and debating whether Jae Kyung will come with him or not.
“I haven’t seen you doing your archery sessions, Your Highness! It’s not like I’ll do anything special at home and I wanna see you playing archery so let me watch. It’s for science! Pleaseeeee~” Jae Kyung pleaded as she clasped her both hands in front of him, as if she’s praying that he’ll allow her to watch him.
“No,” Prince Yi Eul answered, shaking his head. “Just go home and binge-watch some anime or something that you wanna watch.”
“No!” Jae Kyung appealed, shaking her head as well. “Let me watch you doing archery!”
“Stop being such a hard-head, Jae Kyung. My decision is final. Go home.”
Jae Kyung’s face started to gloom as well as her shoulder drooped. She slowly moved away from the Crown Prince and sighed. “I’ve been through a lot and this is what I got…”
Prince Yi Eul frowned and pinched the bridge of his nose and finally responded. “Okay, fine. You can watch…”
In a nanosecond, Jae Kyung’s eyes lit up then she moved a bit closer to the Crown Prince. Prince Yi Eul, then, raised his pointer finger up. “But, you’ll gonna stay for thirty minutes.”
“One hour!” Jae Kyung interrupted.
“Forty-five minutes. Last call,” Prince Yi Eul told her.
“Game!” Jae Kyung nodded and grinned.
Prince Yi Eul sighed. “Okay, fine. Forty-five minutes then you’ll go home. Arasseo?”
“Ne, sonnim!” Jae Kyung nodded and gave him a salute. Before Prince Yi Eul could talk, Jae Kyung immediately spoke. “We have no time to waste! Let’s go!”
“Hey, you—” Jae Kyung didn’t even wait for Prince Yi Eul to speak as she immediately went out of the car. “What the? I am the one who will play archery, not you!”
“You really like to defy me so much, you i***t,” Prince Yi Eul shook his head and went out of the car as well, following her.
The whole archery ground was silent except for the wind and for the arrows that were pinned on the board. Prince Yi Eul puts down his arrow after he shot his twentieth arrow in the bull’s eye. He slightly turned his head to Jae Kyung who was actually staring at him in awe while holding her pink mini notebook. He actually finds it weird that she usually brings a mini notebook with her anywhere they go but he thought, maybe because she’s a journalist and it became a habit of her to bring one so he didn’t become curious about it anymore.
And besides, it’s none of his business.
“Hey, lazy bum,” Prince Yi Eul called her.
Jae Kyung blinked dumbly and responded. “Eo?”
“Come here.”
Without thinking much about what the Crown Prince told her, Jae Kyung stood up and walked towards Prince Yi Eul. Getting the arrow from the servant, Prince Yi Eul gave it to her. She looked at it dumbly before meeting the Crown Prince’s gaze.
“I don’t actually like it when you stared at me as if you’re boring holes behind my head so at least play,” he said.
Jae Kyung’s face, once again, lit up. “Really???”
“Yeah. Kinda annoying that you’re staring at me dumbly so you can play. Just once.”
“Waah! Thank you!” she gratefully accepted the arrow from the Crown Prince. “I’m so excited to play!”
Prince Yi Eul snorted. “Yeah, right, obviously,” he, then, gave the bow to her. “Now, show me what you’ve got.”
Fortunately, she’s a good observant so she managed to follow what Prince Yi Eul did earlier so she positioned herself in front of an empty board, positioned the arrow, and stretched the bow, drawing the arrow and when she felt that the bow’s string was stretched enough, she immediately aimed at the board.
Unfortunately, the arrow just went down. It didn’t reach the board.
Embarrassed, she scratched her head and looked at Prince Yi Eul. “This is harder than I thought. I really thought it’s really easy.”
“You’re almost there. You just didn’t have the right position and you didn’t know the right way and timing to aim the arrow,” Prince Yi Eul told her. He grabbed the arrow that the servant was offering. He positioned himself on Jae Kyung’s back and held her both hands to position the arrow and the bow she’s holding. “Like this. You’ll do it like this.”
Jae Kyung couldn’t actually focus on what Prince Yi Eul was talking about nor teaching her all about because as soon as Prince Yi Eul held her, she felt a weird sensation inside her chest.
Without thinking, she turned her head only to find Prince Yi Eul’s face just a few inches away from her that she couldn’t help but silently gasped.
And there it is…
There it goes again.
She felt this feeling that she couldn’t actually put a word or words about it.
Wait, could it be…
