일흔 네위 왕관 (74)       “You found him…” the great-grandmother muttered which actually made Jae Kyung stare at her in surprise. “You found your soulmate… and the one who will love you and be with you forever. But they are two different people so I hope you’ll choose wisely between the two of them because the two of them love you more than you do to one of them.” That made Jae Kyung turns her head to Prince Yi Eul who’s now staring at him in confusion. Could it be… “Wow…” her eyes settled on Prince Yi Eul’s cousins, uncle and auntie, and his cousin-in-law as they looked at her in utter shock and astonishment. Their eyes focused on her and Prince Yi Eul’s great-grandmother who’s currently holding her hand. She finds the old lady’s hold warm and soft that’s why she just let her hold her hand. “I couldn’t believe this…” Prince Yi Eul’s auntie couldn’t help but mutter. “Halmeoni didn’t actually talk to anyone, especially to other people, strangers to be exact…” Chang Min said to them. “And yet, she managed to talk to you, Princess.” Jae Kyung just looked at them in surprise. She, then, looked at the old lady and kneeled in front of her. She gently held the old lady’s hand and smiled at her. “Thank you so much for telling me, halmeoni.” The old lady nodded and cupped her cheek. The old lady whispered something to her and for an unknown reason, she blushed as her eyes glisten while staring at the old lady. Prince Yi Eul felt Chang Min tapping his arm so he turned his head to the latter. “Your wife is really wonderful, Yi Eul-ah,” Chang Min said and smiled at his cousin. “Halmeoni also knew she’s a good person. You can’t find anyone like her nowadays so you must treasure her.” “Oh, we should bring Halmeoni so we can eat now!” Chang Min’s wife was about to walk towards the old lady but Jae Kyung volunteered to be the one who will push the wheelchair for the old lady which Chang Min’s wife gladly accepted. With all smiles on her face, Jae Kyung kept on talking to Chang Min’s wife while they take the old lady to the dining area. He didn’t want to feel this. Prince Yi Eul didn’t want to feel this. But for the first time in his life, he felt so conflicted.     “What are you doing here outside?” Jae Kyung immediately turned her head when she heard Prince Yi Eul’s voice. As the Crown Prince walked towards the bench she’s sitting on, she responded. “I just want to breathe some fresh air, that’s all.” “I actually thought you came out because my cousins and their kids were loud as well as auntie and uncle. They couldn’t stop talking about you,” Prince Yi Eul said as he finally sat down beside her. “Well, to be honest, I’m not really used to a huge family like yours because my family in Jeju, we just consist of four. But, it’s not that bad. I was actually glad…” Jae Kyung told him as she smiled softly. “Your mom’s family… your family, in general, is so kind-hearted. They welcomed a not-really-royal or not even a noble blood like me. They warmly welcomed a stranger like me like that. I didn’t really expect that. I felt so warm… and happy about it.” Prince Yi Eul stared at her for a moment then he looked at the sky. “I’m glad… that you actually came with me here.” Jae Kyung looked at him. He, then, met her gaze as well. “And I am also glad that Halmeoni likes you as well.” “Ehehehe, I didn’t really expect that she’ll talk to me, but I’m delighted as well.” “And thank you… for what you’ve done for me so far.” That made Jae Kyung pause for a moment then she looked at Prince Yi Eul like she’s totally shocked about something. He frowned. “What?” She immediately put her hand over his forehead while her other hand was on her forehead as well. “Hmm. You don’t have any fever.” Prince Yi Eul removed her hand and looked at her in utter confusion. “What was that for?” “I thought you were sick because you actually don’t talk like this,” Jae Kyung responded, teasing him. But in all honesty, she didn’t really expect him to say those things. “Hey! Why are you sounding like you know me as a jerk or something? I am also nice, you know? I also have some manners and I also feel grateful as well,” he said. “Yeah, yeah. I know. You’re nice. You’re nice only in your sleep.” “Hey! I’m not! I’m nice, you know? I even let you borrow my Netflix account! You’re the one who’s mean to me from the very beginning.” Jae Kyung's eyes widen and frowned at him. She, then, pointed to him as if he had some unpaid debt on her. “Excuse me? Did you just pull an UNO reversed card at me? You’re the one who’s a meanie here, you know?!” “Jae Kyung is a meanie!” “No, Prince Yi Eul is a meanie!” “No! Jae Kyung is a meanie!” “No, Prince Yi Eul is a meanie!” “No! Jae Kyung is a meanie!” “No, Yi Eul-ie is a meanie!” Prince Yi Eul gasped, exaggerating his reaction. “How dare you call the Crown Prince of South Korea ‘Yi Eul-ie’?!” “Uh, that’s obviously your nickname, Yi Eul-ieeeee~” He gasped in an exaggerated way once again. “Excuse you?! Only my auntie Se Kyung or even grandma is the one who’s allowed to call me that nickname.” “Well, halmeoni and your family recognized me as one of your family so I am now allowed to call you that, YI EUL-IEEEEEE~~” “You cheeky girl!” “Blep,” Jae Kyung stuck her tongue out to annoy him. He gasped once again with his hand over his chest that Jae Kyung couldn’t help but slap his hand which made him yelp for a second. “You’re exaggerating.” As they stared at each other, they suddenly laughed their asses out. “This is the first time that I saw Yi Eul laugh like that…” his auntie Se Kyung said as she looked at the two from the window. “Ever since Si Young died, that kid never laughed or smiled purely like that.” “That girl… Jae Kyung,” his uncle, Tae Ha muttered. “I’m glad that she managed to meet Yi Eul and make him that happy. I’m sure Si Young is happy in heavens watching her son happy again.” Se Kyung leaned on her husband’s shoulder and smiled. “I couldn’t ask for more but to make them be together until they grow old, for better or for worst.” “Yeah. I hope these kids will find the happiness they deserved,” the couple once again looked at Prince Yi Eul and Jae Kyung’s who’s currently laughing over something as they kept doing hand gestures while telling stories with each other.
