Only Need You

Chapter Twelve:

Layla POV

2 weeks until baby is here. My belly got huge looks like I’m carrying a army then one baby, my mom and dad been a life saver, we decided we are not going back, we need this time to get away from there, i will be there pack member jut not part of there pack, i get out of the shower and get dressed and once i walked out brody was no where to be seen so i walk out of the room and my mom is cooking and my dad drinking coffee and i said “where brody” my dad says “he got a job interview” i said “why, i have the job at the cafe with grams” my dad says “he decided you will only work there on his off days and get a job with his degree” i said “ok” i go sit down and my mom puts food in front of me, I eat and suddenly i felt uncomfortable and my mom says “you ok” i said “yeah alittle pressure in my stomach kinda a cramp” my mom says “thats normal those are braxin contractions” i said “oh why” she says “baby is getting the body ready for labor” i said “great to know, so how long will i feel this way” my mom says “it depends a day to two” i looked at her and she smiles at me and goes back into the kitchen i finish my juice and got up and i excuse myself and headed out back to the beach and did my morning walk by the ocean. As i turn around brody was right there i said “hey, how did it go” he said “i got it babe” i said “thats good, when you start” he says “in 3 weeks” i said “awesome” another braxin contraction hits me again i moan alittle and Brody says “are you ok that didn’t look comfortable” i said “its the baby preparing me for real labor” he sighs and says “ok, lets finish this walk”. I take his hand and we talk about what’s going to happen the next few weeks and once i get to the back porch i sit in the lounge chair and enjoy the rest of the day. We eat dinner and get ready for a relax evening and once i got into the bathroom to undress i feel a contraction come on this isn’t what it felt earlier i breath through it and it goes away, i get into the shower and wash myself off and another hits me. Through my whole shower it kept going until they where a minute apart the last one i scream out the pain and my mom and Brody run in i look at them with tears in my eyes and another hits i scream again. My mom says “Brody get the car ready this baby is coming” he runs off and my mom grabs a rob and wraps me in it and walks me out the front door to car. She gets me in and brody drove off to the hospital. He stops at the front and gets me out into a wheel chair and runs back out and parks the car. He comes back and a nurse asked “may i help you” i said “GET ME TO LABOR AND DELIVERY NOW” she said “alright” brody shows up in time and wheels me up to level 5 and he tells the front i am in labor and they had me wheel into the exam room the doctor comes in and said your 8cm we need to get you into a room, they get me into a room and plugged me in and i get into the bed i breath out the next contraction the nurses bring in a heated bassinet and the pediatrician comes in and introduce and lets us know once the baby is born he be checking the baby. I nodded and looked at brody and he says “that’s fine”. My doctor walks in and she says “sorry took me so long to get here” i said “your fine we just got settled”. She checks me and said your almost at 10cm and once she takes off her gloves i feel a hard contraction and wetness down at my bottom. The doc says “your water broke i need to check again” she checks again and tells the staff to get ready and the pediatrician nods. She checks me and says “layla next contraction push hard” i felt another one coming i hold my breath and pushed and i take another breath and start pushing again. Doc says “one more push and her head be out” i push one more time and we hear crying, i pushed again and she it all the way out. Brody cuts her cord and the nurse take her to the warmer and cleans her off and the pediatrician looks her over. He says “she is healthy and no problems” the nurses comes in and finishing cleaning her off. Once they finish they brought her over to me to hold and brody couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. My parents walked in and gave us a hug and said “she is beautiful” i handed her to my mom and the doctor finish cleaning me up and said she be back to check on me. I said “ok” and she leaves and it’s just us now. I said “happy birthday baby girl”

Brody POV

I can’t believe how fast it all went not even an hour at the hospital my mate gives birth to my daughter, this is unbelievable, when the nurse put her in my arms I couldn’t stop looking at her, she looks just like her mama, i walked her over and place her in layla arms and she couldn’t stop looking, then her parents came in and exchange a few words and she handed the baby to her mom and her parents couldn’t get enough of this. Layla mom says “your parents be here tomorrow” i said “what, really” she says “yes, they where going to surprise you and be here when this little princess was born, but she didn’t wait long enough” i smiled and said “thank you” she says “we are family after all” i said “i need to get them a room” layla dad says “no worried they staying with us. I have enough room, they can take the living space down stairs” i looked at him confused and said “I’ve been through that whole house never know there was a downstairs” he says “because we just finished on it, it was a blank area and we where planning to redo it” i said “ohh, okay, great” they walk over to the couch with our daughter in there arms and took this time to spend with her until she is ready to be feed i get on the edge of the hospital bed and kiss Layla on the forehead and asked her “are you feeling alright” she says “yes, so you telling me we are staying here then” i said “yes, we are not going back, i see how happy you are here” she says “thank you, i do love it here” i said “so what should we name her” she says how about “jewel” i said “what, really” she says “yes, after your sister, you lost 2 years ago” i smiled at her and said “jewel it is, its perfect” we hear jewel start crying and layla mom comes over and says “she needs to be fed” she hands the baby to layla and she opens her gown and gets jewel to latch one after a minute she latches on and drinks to her content. I kiss my mate and said “ i be right back, i need to make a call” she says “ok baby”. I leave the room and gave my parents a call. After two rings my mom answers and says “brody, everything okay” i said “mom, we just had the baby” she says 

“ OH MY GOD, we wanted to be there and we are 6 hours away” i said “i know, she didn’t want to wait any longer” my mom says “thats ok baby we have all the time to spend with her, how is layla?” I said “she is good actually, tired, but she is feeding jewel right now” the phone gets quiet and i said “mom, are you there” she says “are you serious” i said “yeah, she is tired” she says “no on the baby name” i said “layla named her so you know its dead serious” she says “this is the best gift ever” i said “i know, you guys get some rest for the night and dont do anymore driving, call me when you wake up” she says “ok baby i see you tomorrow” i said “ok mom, good night” she says “good night” and we hang up. I get back into the room and layla finished feeding jewel and just burp her she says “come spend some time with her i like to take a short nap”. I said “ok honey” i walk over and take jewel out of her arms and sit in the rocker and rock and watch my daughter fall to sleep.

Back at the pack:

Cody POV

I get a message from my parents the baby is born and she is named jewel, wow cant believe it so soon. Cullen had his son Liam 3 weeks ago, but apparently chrissy decided she didn’t want to be a mother and a mate and ended there bond. Cullen has neglected his son so me and abigail is taking care of him, he looks a lot like her brother. I feel horrible for the little guy but we are his parents now and I wouldn’t change a thing. I txt them back to send my congratulations and i come see them soon. I get out of the bed and headed into the bathroom to shower and get dressed i head to the nursery and warm up a bottle and pull Liam out of his crib and fed him, once i was done i changed his diaper and outfit and swaddle him back up and place him in his crib. Abigail comes in with her small baby bump and says “we need to make an official that Liam is our kid” i said “i know, your brother is signing the papers today that we are now his parents” she says “good, because his baby brother is coming soon” i said “i know and i have your brother also start training the warriors today to” she says “thats a good distraction for him, on what has happen the past few weeks” i said “i know and it be good to keep a down low on layla and the baby” abigail eyes goes big and says “the baby is here” i nodded and she says “ok we keep this quiet for now, dont need him to go crazy” i said “exactly i had to lock him up” she nods and i walk over to her and kiss her lips and said if you need me i be in my office. She kisses me back and i walk out i get to my office and once i sit down the paper i wanted cullen to sign is already signed. I sign the other part and put it in the lock cabinet. As i turn cullen comes in and says “what’s next boss” i said “you will be training the warriors for now on” he nods and walks out. I turn on my computer and started alittle bit of work. I see an email and i open it. It’s from my parents and pictures of the new baby. They put baby jewel and i open each one and can’t believe how she looks just like my sister, she is beautiful. I save the photos and put them in a secret folder. I finish the emails and started the paper work. Abigail comes in with baby Liam and said “breakfast time alpha” i said “ok” i turn off the screen to the computer and got up and took Liam out of her arm and grab her hand and headed down to the dining hall. We get to the dining hall and sit and our breakfast comes out we start eating and cullen says “i am going to get with the beta and get a new Schedule set for the warriors having 3 times a week isn’t enough, i like to do 5 and if they want they have an option to also train on the weekends at there own will and we can have several classes through the morning and afternoon so we are not all cram together in just one”. I said “sounds great cullen and this exactly why i picked you for the job. How about you can take care of the scheduling on training and patrol, and once you get it all together we can give you alittle more work to do if you desired to” he says “sounds great” we finish our breakfast and i hand laim over to abigail and she says “we be in my office if you need us”. I said “ok, sounds good” i kiss liam head and her lips and they went off. I take our plates and put them in the sink and headed out to the training field i bring the beta and gamma over and said cullen will be in charge of the warrior and patrol and there schedule but as of today you guys can finish the training” they nodded and went back to training. I said “ cullen you can join them and they will let them all know you are the new trainer and you can let them know what you are planing to do and go to the head patrol building and get a meeting together for them, once your done come to my office and i have everything for you to get started, take my beta with you when you do all this” he says “ok, thank you”. I said “no problem” and i walked away back to the pack house and i go up to my office and once i get in abigail is sitting on the couch and i said “whats wrong”, she says “hows layla” i said “she is fine” she syas “did she have the baby” i said “maybe why” she says “i felt something weird in my tummy and i just had a feeling something was wrong” i said “nothing is wrong, it because the baby is supposed to be here soon and our little guy just feels his cousin” she nods and says “your right” and she gets up and kisses me and said “see you at lunch” i nodded and went to my desks to finish my work.

Cullen POV

I woke up early and went to Cody’s office and sign my son to him. His mother was stupid to end all this and run away the pain of the bond is still hitting me hard that she ended. I cant raise my son feeling this way and its better if they do it. And plus abigail is great so far. I get down stairs and head out to the training field i see the beta and gamma leading a huge class and i thought who the hell does this and only 3 times a week. I head to the boarder and do a jog around it and it comes to me i like to take the roll for patrol and training once i get back to the pack house i know cody is in his office so i get up there and tell him what i would like to do. Since i cant raise my son right now, at least keep myself busy and let this pain fade away slowly. He gives me the good to go and i walk out. I head to my room and as i walk by the nursery I walked in, Liam is sound asleep and i tell him “liam i love you, i just cant take care of you right now, I’m not strong enough and i wish i was, i hope you forgive me when i get the strength to be your father” i run my hand through his hair and as i turn to walk away abigail says “Cullen he will always be your son, you can also take care of him to, i had you sign those papers for now, once you are fully ready he is yours again” he says “I prefer you guys raise him, but he will know I’m his father” she says “of course, just in case you change your mind, please feel free to see him and hold him and love him and do what any parent does to there baby” i said “i will” and i walked out to my room. I get into my room have a shower and get some work out clothes on i head out of my room once i was done and i hear abigail tell cody its breakfast time so i head down and grab myself a plate and when they came down with my son i suggest on some things about the training and patrol and i finished my breakfast and we both headed to the training field and cody address the beta and gamma i am in charge of patrol and training and more may come later. I get up there once training was finish and addressed “hello everyone i am Cullen, i will be your new trainer and patrol commander, i hope you are all ok with is because i have alot to fill, i want to changed a few things in the training and i like to address that now, i will carry a 5 day training class” i let out a breath and i said “wait thats not all, i will have 3-4 different training classes so you can pick whatever time suits you, i will have the 3 head warriors helping me with each class and i like to put some new training moves in” everyone stayed quiet and I say “if you have any ideas on anything new or how class should be divided please come to me and let me know, i like all of your opinions” they all says “yes sir” i said “your dismissed”. I get to the beta and said ready to do the patrol now he says “alright lets go.” We headed off to patrol and did the same there and we went back to the pack house and went our own ways . I headed up to the top floor and abigail comes out of her office and says we have a office for you it’s the next floor down and its all yours” i said “great, ill head on down” i turn and walked down to the next level and walked in and its already furnished and ready for me. This is perfect a new beginning.

Back with layla and brody:

Layla POV

I was finally released from the hospital and brody is taking me and jewel home his parents showed up and waiting for us at the house and once we reach there they had food and cake and a big surprise for us, it was wonderful. I lay jewel in her bassinet while i run into the room to shower and change and when i came out brody parents where feeding her and holding her and I said “your welcome to come see her whenever” they said “is there ever a chance you come back” i said “maybe, give me some time” they nodded and we went on with the celebration. It get close to dinner and i said “how about we go out to eat” everyone agreed i get jewel changed and into her car seat and we headed out to a nice restaurant. We all order food and drinks and enjoy the evening with each other and once we finish we headed home and relax the rest of the night. Me and brody just lay jewel down for the night and got into bed together and i said “i don’t think i can go back there and i feel so bad” brody says “its ok, we will figure it out and plus i ran into another wolf and we where talking and they need a alpha and luna and it came to mind if we cant go back why not begin a pack of our own” i said “great idea this empty land of ours we can build on and make a pack house and a hospital and another house for just us and i keep this or our parents to visit.” Brody says “i am happy your on board i get this order in tomorrow”. I said “wow, you know i say yes” he says “i know you very well my queen” i smiled and kissed his lips and we went to sleep. The night went as usual wake up and feed Jewel all night and my parents took over at 7am and i went back to sleep for a few more hours leading to almost 11am. I get out of bed and take a shower and get ready. Once i walk out of the bedroom Brody comes out of the study and said “its all set, i am going over ideas with our dad’s this afternoon on building on the land you dad have here” i said “how much land does he have?” He said “40 acres” i said “holy crap, thats a lot” he said “that enough to build a few packs” i walk over to him and kiss his lips and said “lets get this meeting started then later” he kisses me back and said “lets go, there out back” he grabs my hand and we headed out the back door to discuss this idea with them.
