Amnesia

That same night

As I walk up the stairs I heard the same song playing again and it made me smile.

Taking a turn I walk into my room and place the suitcase on the ottoman as I take my clothes of I couldn't help but think about all the changes that were made in my absence. I really need to talk to Owen.

After I took a shower i got wear a white short that seems to come in pairs.



As I walk down the stairs I hear a familiar voice and Nicole's voice talking in hushed tone.

''I hope you keep your end of the deal. Like we talked about.''

''Owen what are you doing here, so late and when did you arrive'' I say as I walk into the kitchen seeing them stand next to each other. But too close for me.

''I just came from a meeting and decided to check up on you.'' He says walking away from nicole.

''What were you talking about?'' I ask looking directly at nicole.

''U...um...about...I was talking about the shrimp pasta she made. Right nicole.'' He says looking at her.

''Oh, you made shrimp pasta.''

''Yeah, dinners ready. I'll prepare you a plate.'' She says then walks to the stove.

I take a seat at the head of the table and wait for her to bring me dinner.

''Can we talk in my office after dinner before you leave?''

''Yeah, no problem.''

After a while she comes with two plates in hand.



That consists out of asparagus, corn,garlic bread with shrimp pasta and fried fish.

''Here you are, bon appetit.''

She says as she puts down the plate that exists out of asparagus, corn,garlic bread with shrimp pasta and fried fish.

''Thank you and you too.''

She hands the other plate to owen and he starts to dig in. As always never waiting for anyone to start eating together not even a thank you.

'' I wasn't expecting you to be here at all.'' I say as I take a seat in the chair.

''It's a surprise visit, don't get your panties twisted. What did you want to talk about.''

''Today I went to work.'' I say as I look at him.

''Okay and...''

''Why did you fire my most trusted employees.''

''They were going behind your back and tried selling your shares to Usoro. They even held a private meeting about kicking you out of your own company. So I did the most logical thing. And fired them.''

''Are you joking?.'' I ask in disbelief.

''I'm not you can ask Sean, he was the one that caught them, don't you trust me? You think I will make somethinglike this up.''

''No it's not that it's just so shocking. Mr Mickelson has been there for me since my parents passed away. He I looked up to him as my second father. He even stood by my side when the board wanted to kick me out.'' I say as I think back to the day when he showed up at college to tell me the horrible news of my parents getting into a accident that killed them.

''Do you know what the saddest thing about betrayal is?'' He ask looking at me.

''What.''

''Is that it never comes from your enemies.''

I guess he has a point. It doesn't matter how close you guys were or are with someone there will always be 50% chance that they will betray you.

''Is that all you wanted to talk about?'' He ask as he stands up ready to leave.

''Yeah you, that's all.''

''Okay then goodnight, maybe I'll drop by tomorrow. Not sure how late but see you later.'' He says as he opens the door and walks out of my office closing the door after him.

It's particularly hard to take being stabbed in the back close to home.

After working for an hour in my office I close the door as I walk out. As I was about to head upstairs I saw that the kitchen light was on. I arrive in the kitchen and see nicole at the table with papers layed out in front of her.

''What are you doing.'' I ask as I stare at her.

''JEZUS.'' She yells frightened

''Why do you do that, you want me to have a heart attack.'' She said as she tries to calm herself down.

''Sorry it wasn't my intention, I thought you heard me walking in so.''

''It's okay, i didn't mean to yell like that at you.''

''What are you studying.'' I ask as walk closer to her.

''Just some stupid algebra.''

''It's not that hard, let me see.'' I say as stand behind the chair and lean forward as I place my hand on top of the chair.

''Ofcourse it's easy for you, you're a genius, but here you go.'' She says showing me the problem.

''It's quite easy, here let me show you.'' I say as I pull the chair closer to her and sit down.

''I told you there not that hard.'' I say laughing.

''And I'll say it again you're a genius, wish I had your brain.'' She said and laughs.

The ways she laughed.

She has that champagne smile

The kind that forgets about tomorrows

And sings of only now and all the music that could be.

''I never asked but what are you studying to become?''

''I want to be a nurse and this is my last year.''

''That's cool.''

''What.''

''Nothing.''

''All this work has me going hungry again. And I'm not in the mood to cook again.''

''Let's go out then.'' Blurt out, wanting to spend more time with her.

''It's 8:30pm." She says as she starts to place the papers in her binder.

''We won't be out for long, we have to buy groceries.''

''Okay then, let me change.'' She said amd walks upstairs with her school bag and me walking behind her.

As she walks up the stairs I couldn't help as my eyes came in view with her ass. With each step she takes it shakes. Will she be mad I touched it? No, I don't want to sexually assault her eventhough were married.

After putting on a shirt I walk downstairs straight into the garage and take the key of the Chevrolet Camaro.



As I sat in the car I start it to preheat the engine and wait for nicole to get done.

After fifteen minutes she walks out wearing a crop top with a long skirt and fluffy slide.



''Where are we going first.'' She ask after settling in the car.

''How about Walmart first then on the way home we buy some food at the drive through.'' I say as I reverse the car out the garage.

''Sounds good to me.''

''Okay then, tell me about yourself. Because of this whole amnesia thing I forgot everything. Including you, my wife.'' I say after getting on the pavement onto the road.

''Well...hi I'm Nicole brown and I'm 24 years old. And....

She says as I drive to the highway.

Arriving at Walmart I park the car on a empty spot close to the building and step out.

Before entering nicole grab a trolley on the side and walk in.

''Which aisle are we going first?" I ask her.

''Meat and fish first.'' She says walking into the meat aisle.

After we got meat and fish we make our way to the following aisle: produce, tinned & dried produce, grains and bread, oil & fat, dairy & eggs, condiments, vegetables & fruits.

''Is that all?'' I ask getting tired of shopping.

''Yes all that are left is snacks.'' She said walking into the snacks aisle.

She takes a few bags of snacks and place them in the second half filled trolley.

''Is that all?''

''Not yet, I still have to pick up the donuts and cupcakes.''

After picking up the donuts and cupcakes we finally make our way to the register and place them on the counter as the cashier brings out our total.

''Your total is $979,55.'' The cashier says.

''Wow, did I buy much?'' Nicole's says.

''Here you go.'' I say handing her my credit card.

After placing the groceries in the car and getting food at a fast food restaurant we arrive home.

11:13PM

I refresh myself and head downstairs to the theater room where I find nicole waiting for me in her shorts and long sleeved shirt.



''I hope I didn't help you waiting for long.'' I say as I make myself comfortable on the couch.

''Nah, I've been in here for about a minute.'' She says putting a frie in her mouth. I nod my head saying yes and pick up the remote control.



''What movie do you want to watch?"

''How bout a romantic movie?''

''Okay then.'' I say as I go Netflix and a movie.

Halfway through the movie she falls asleep in my arms.

I remove the pack of chips from her hand and fold it close. I place my hand under her neck and the other under her thighs and lift her up. She stirs a little in my arms then wraps her arms around my neck.

Walking upstairs I try not to wake her up. Opening the door to her room I walk in and place her on the bed.



As I was about to pull away she pulls me on the bed as she turns then wraps my arm around her waist. I freeze on the spot. The feelings came running back. The same one I try to hide every time I see her.

And if that's not enough she starts to moves her but on my crotch area. I don't want to take advantage of her, but this is too much.

I move my arm from her waist then place it on her hip to stop her from moving too much and hug her till she stops.

After laying down for A few more minutes in her bed I remove my arm from her waist and hip then get up slowly not wanting to wake her up.

I stay a few more minutes and just stare at her beautiful face.

Her full plump lips, oh how I wish I could kiss her.

Her beautiful brown skin that glows every time she goes into the sun.

Bending down as I whisper 'goodnight' In her ear and place a small kiss on her cheek.

Tomorrow is another day.

Another day I wish to spend with you, to get to know you. The same way I did before getting married to you.

How I wish to wake up tomorrow and get all my...our moments together back.

Also I failed most of my classes and I'm getting another chance to get them up again. So this week I'm going to study a lot.
