I woke up to the sound of my little sister shaking me awake "Wake up Katie." She said while shaking me. She is a little ball of energy. I got out of bed and the two of us made pancakes together. It was a tradition my mom had with her and I was going to do everything in my power to make sure she never forgot. When we were setting the table, Arion came to the kitchen. He was freshly showered but his black hair was still damp. He walked over to Ally and shook his head making her wet. She squealed happily and threw her arms around his waist. He in turn picked her up and twirled her in the air. Then they started a tickle fight which I broke up after telling them that breakfast was ready. We all sat down to eat and Ally told us that she had been elected to be the class representative for her class. The rest of the morning was spent with us eating and making jokes. Soon the babysitter I'd called last night knocked on the door and I opened it, letting her in. Because Arion and I had to meet and discuss our plan for the mission despite my initial reservation, I decided it would not hurt if I went with him to his favourite coffee shops to discuss the mission.
We sat in the coffee shop that was located a little far from my house. " you have to get close to the dragon for you to retrieve the information needed to put him away." He said to me as he pulled out his laptop and placed it on the table before going crazy on it. Typing like a madman and twenty minutes later, he looked up at me triumphantly "We now have jobs at Dragon Corp, you will be his assistant and I will be his bodyguard. After we went over the details of the case, we left the coffee shop and decided to head back to my place to relieve the babysitter of her work.
When we reached home, it was late afternoon and Ally was playing, the television was on and the babysitter was napping on the couch but she got up when she heard us entering the house. I paid her and thanked her for watching Ally for me. She soon left and so did Arion after he said something about needing to unwind. I just hope he doesn't end up at my place drunk. I have a child to take care of and I can't have her exposed to such dangers. For dinner, I made spaghetti and meatballs which my sister ate with gusto. Ten minutes later, she announced that she wanted me to tuck her into bed. " Hey Katie? '' she asked, " yeah baby" I replied. " Are you and Arion dating? "No baby we're not " I replied with that being said, she nodded her head and turned her back to me and stayed silent. I cleaned up the kitchen and sat on the couch to watch the television. Soon I dozed off and only woke up because my phone was ringing so I picked up "Hello, " I said sleepily "Kate, help, I'm in trouble. '' Arion's distressed voice came on the line. At the sound of his panicked voice, I picked up my gear from behind the fireplace and grabbed my car keys before locking the door and heading out. For a few seconds, I typed away at my laptop which I always made sure I hid in my car. When I found the location of his cell phone, I started the car and drove off to the destination. I pulled up to the warehouse and it sounded like a war zone inside. I put on my harness and decided to get in from the roof. It was safer, that's way safer. I climbed to the roof and found a loose part in the roof which I removed and slid right in landing on an upturned crate. " Come on Ari, you know you can't hide forever so you better come out and face me. " I heard a gruff voice say tauntingly. I quickly hid and assessed the situation. I noticed five guards at the entrance, three armed men prowling the rows of crates. They appeared to be looking for Arion. Oh, what did he do now? I jumped out of hiding knocking one of the guys down and I punched him causing him to pass out. I then picked up his gun and walkie-talkie and proceeded to walk along the shadows allowing me to be invisible. I walked a few paces and then attacked the next guy who looked buffer than the guy who I had knocked out. I kicked his legs from under him and he fell allowing me to strike his head with the back of the gun I was holding. He then went limp and I proceeded with more caution because by now, they started to notice the commotion. When I heard the sound of footsteps approaching I jumped back into hiding with the zip ties and gun I had stolen from the guys I fought with.
I saw a blurred figure fly out from behind me and take down the three guards at the entrance making all of the fall to the floor. When I got a good look at him, I realised it was Arion. He ran up to me and before he could get a word in, I punched him and he groaned. " Yeah, that's what you get for disrupting my sleep. " I said as he rubbed his jaw "Relax woman, I was just gonna say that we need to get out of here before this ace blows up. "With that, he grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the warehouse. We headed straight for my car and drove off right before the whole place burst into flames. He began laughing all of a sudden "Are you kidding me? I asked but he did not stop laughing for a whole five minutes. " sorry buttercup but that was just training and I have to say, you pa. " I cut him off with a slap. But the bozo continued laughing. I shook my head in disbelief and drove him to his house and said nothing in reply when he wished me a good night. After that, I drove back home and just lay awake the whole night. Sleeping was always a bad idea
