Thirty-Two Wednesday, March 24, 9:11 A.M. CST French Harbor, Roatan Miguel parked his motorbike on the sidewalk out front of Elway’s, a large grocery store in the French Harbor. They froze Stateside specialty deli items because of the hot tropical climate. He grabbed a package of hot dogs out of an open deep freezer. “No buns?” said the checkout clerk. Miguel laughed. “Buns would disintegrate where I’m taking these.” Miguel had found the giant green moray eel at Mandy’s Eel Garden near West Bay Beach long ago, and he wanted to start feeding it again, a trick that wowed newbie divers.
