Eleven Monday, March 8, 3:21 P.M. CST Bailey’s Key “Almost done, then we’ll swim, girl,” Eva said. Taffy whistled in reply. Eva was alone with the dolphin. Axel had gone back to his rented room at Tranquility Bay, a mom-and-pop resort owned by Eva’s best friends, Tess and Nick, and Jose was off keeping score at some soccer game. As gray cumulus clouds rolled overhead, threatening rain, Eva uploaded the signature whistles from the day into her Delphi Imago software, watching the dual-wave patterns on the screen. She reviewed the Cymaglyphs and was pleased to find that the red ball indeed looked like a circle, and the rubber ducky replicated itself precisely in Taffy’s image of it.
