Taffy and Rascal were the first to announce Finn’s arrival. When Eva heard the barking and squeaking, she turned to find Finn cavorting with Taffy, who seemed delighted for her mate’s return. Eva couldn’t tell if the apparatus was still on Finn’s head with all the splashing going on, so she got in the water and ducked beneath the surface.
The GPS tracking device with its large-bore needle was gone. Only the GoPro remained.
She motioned for Finn to follow her to the steps, gently took off the head strap, and handed the GoPro to Leo. Then she inspected Finn for injuries and breathed a sigh of relief when she found none. She stroked him and sent Jose to get a fresh cooler of fish.
