the threat 2

Hailey returned home tired and pissed. The vertical line on her face was visible. "That stupid poor rat. Why didn't he just accept the money instead of an apology? The worst part is that they even discharged them before I got there. This is a total waste of my precious time. Hailey said angrily. Two years later, Hailey had just finished having her breakfast and was ready to leave for work when she heard a knock on the door. “yes? Who is that ?” Hailey asked angrily. The door opens slowly, and a maid walks in with her head bowed to the ground. “Good morning, Miss Hailey. A package arrived for you last night.” “And why are you just bringing it now ?” Hailey asked, irritated. “You came home drunk last night and I didn't want to disturb you, so I decided to bring it to you this morning,” the maid answered, already feeling uneasy. “You must be very stupid and silly to talk back at me and to even have the guts to say that I returned home drunk. How dare you! Are you my mom? I can see that you don't value your job”, Hailey snapped back at the maid. “And what the hell are you still doing here ? Will you take your stupid self out of my sight this minute?” Hailey said angrily. Hurriedly, the maid left the room, dropping the package on the table. Hailey hissed and angrily tore the package open and found an envelope containing a picture of her with the inscription “DEAD”. Immediately, she called out for the maid and asked if she saw the person that delivered the package and the maid nodded affirmatively. “Yes miss, it was a delivery man”, she replied. Do you know the company the delivery man works for ? Hailey asked. “No ma'am,” the maid answered with her head still bowed to the ground. Terrified, Hailey immediately takes out her phone and dials her Dad's number. The phone rang for a few minutes and stopped abruptly. “Hello,” a male voice answered. “Hello Dad, there's something urgent we need to discuss” Hailey said hastily with her voice shaking. “Is there anything bothering my princess?” her father asked. “Yes Dad, it's serious, and I'm really scared,” Hailey said, panicking. Her upper eyelids were pulled up, and her lower eyelids were tensed and drawn up as well. “Okay, I'll see you right after my meeting with the stakeholders”, her father assured her. “No dad, please, I need to see you now”. Hailey was still worried and insisted they meet now. Her father agreed after much persuasion and asked her to meet him at the office. Hailey, in haste, placed the picture in her designer Louis Vuitton bag and hurriedly left the house with it. Getting to her father's company where she worked as an assistant CEO, Hailey walks elegantly exuding confidence with her long flowing ginger hair. She doesn't seem to give a damn about the people greeting and staring at her. She barges into her father's office, ignoring everyone in the office except her dad. “My princess”, her father, Mister Jones, fondly called her, spreading his hands wide, signaling her to embrace him. “Hi daddy,” she said, smiling, trying to hide her fear. Her father signals the people in his office to give him some privacy as he sits in the luxurious soft cushion chair. “You sounded so distressed on the phone, what's the important issue that couldn't wait till the end of my meeting with the stakeholders?” Her concerned father asked, staring at her. I received an anonymous package last night containing my picture with the inscription “Dead”. She struggles as she tries to take out the picture from her designer's Louis Vuitton bag, but the picture is nowhere to be found. “The picture must have fallen out of my bag on my way here, or maybe it's in my room” she said, looking displeased. The vertical lines on her forehead were now visible. “Is it something like this?” her father asked, bringing out from his desk drawer a picture identical to the one she had at home. Her eyes widened in shock. Confused, she asked “How did you get this?” she asked, still looking surprised. I've been receiving these death threats for the past one month, and I've been trying to put things in order. “What do you mean by you have been trying to put things in order?” Hailey asked, still looking dumbfounded. “I've been contacting some of my associates to get me a professional and skilled bodyguard”, her father said. “A bodyguard for whom, Dad?” Hailey asks with a smirk on her face. “For you my angel”, her dad replied. “No Dad. please, I don't need a bodyguard”. She immediately objected and insisted that she could take care of herself and stated she was no longer a child who needed a babysitter. “I am getting you a skilled bodyguard that will take care of and protect you.” her father, who would do anything to protect his only daughter, insisted and concluded that his decisions were final. Hailey, already upset about the whole situation, stood and as she was about to leave the office, a tall, lean and handsome man walked in. Her jaws dropped. She hears nothing as she's fixated on his appearance. He looked very familiar, but she couldn't make out where she knew him from. She is lost for a while as she stares at the hot man as he walks in. He's 6'3” of lean muscle and chiseled features. His dark hair is kept short and neat, and he has intense blue eyes. “Hailey, this is Tyler Donovan. He's going to be your personal bodyguard from now henceforth”. Hailey is brought back to reality as her father's voice echoes in her ears. The name also sounded familiar. It was as if she had heard that name before. “What? Come on Dad, you can't be serious about this. I am a very busy lady and I wouldn't want anything or anyone to slow me down”, Hailey said angrily. “I'm dead serious. You're my only child and my top priority. Your safety is my responsibility. I'll do anything in this world and beyond to keep you safe because you're my Angel, the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't lose you too. He is skilled and has a good tracking record. He's one of the best in his field, so I trust him to protect you from any danger that may come your way”, Mr Jones said. Tyler informs Mr. Jones that he has no problem surveying her twenty-four seven as he is getting paid for the job. “But” “No buts, young lady, this is not up for discussion. He will be your personal bodyguard as, from now henceforth, he will follow you everywhere, and anywhere you go, and that's final.” Mr Jones said with a stern look on his face. Hailey gives up on trying to change her father's mind when it becomes abundantly clear that he is adamant about his decisions.
