After Laura finished her song, thunderous applause resounded around the bar. Sounds of cheers and clamouring could be heard from the crowd. "Encore! Encore!"
Laura smiled politely and left the stage, returning to the booth.
"Laura, you sounded amazing. It's like the voice of angels. You sang much better than the Charming Bar's resident singer!" Caleb was full of praise.
Laura smiled faintly. "You really know how to flatter others, don't you? I'm going to the bathroom for a moment."
Maybe it was because she had downed the wine in one go, her stomach felt a little uncomfortable.
At the bathrooms, a middle-aged man in a suit stopped Laura. "Are you the new resident singer here?"
