Angered, Cody turned around and left.
Cody and Amiyah bumped into each other just as he was about to leave the room. Amiyah peeked and saw Laura lying on the bed just before the door closed.
"Cody, why were you still in Laura's room at this time?"
Cody ignored her and walked away.
Amiyah became more curious. "You didn't stay in her room all night, did you? What were the both of you doing?"
Laura was annoyed that she had to hear Amiyah's persistent nagging early in the morning. She ran her fingers through her tousled hair, got up, and went to the bathroom to wash up.
