The police officer from the forensics department reported the test results. He cleared his throat and said, "According to our test results, Ms. Henderson's fingerprints are on this ring."
Laura's heart beat faster. How could it be possible that the ring had her fingerprints on it?
She had never touched that ring before.
The police were called in by Cody, so they couldn't have been bribed by Jamie. Hence, the only possibility was that Jamie took her fingerprints while she wasn't paying attention.
"See, even the results show that you did steal my ring. What else do you have to say, Laura?" Jamie smiled proudly.
"Chief, she stole my ring." Jamie pointed to Laura. "Please take her away and judge her according to the law."
