The cafeteria was already getting quieter, it’s almost closing hour and most of the student had already started to pack their belongings.
Cathrine packed her things into her bag, a small smile still on her face.
She couldn’t stop thinking about what has happened earlier.
A part of couldn’t deny how happy Jonathan’s action made her feel.
Her phone suddenly buzzed.
She looked at the screen.
It’s Jonathan.
Jonathan: I want to tell you something tomorrow, let’s meet at the karaoke hall
A smile escaped her cheeks.
Before she could respond, another message came in.
Jonathan: Don’t tell Skylar about it.
Cathrine frowned.
Cathrine: why?
Jonathan: just don’t tell her…..see you😙
She stared at the message for a few seconds.
What could he possibly want to tell her?
She was about to type a reply when Skylar suddenly tap her.
“Catherine… Look.”
Catherine looked up.
Skylar was staring toward the other side of the cafeteria.
Catherine followed her gaze and frowned slightly.
Jonathan was there.
With Sophia.
They weren’t doing anything, they were simply standing together talking.
Catherine eyes stayed on them for a moment.
As if he could feel her staring, Jonathan looked up.
Their eyes met.
Catherine quickly looked away.
Her ohone buzzed again.
She checked it.
Jonathan: Go home.
She frowned
Another message came in
Jonathan: Now!!!
Catherine looked up again but Jonathan was still looking in her direction.
She didn’t understand.
“Why is he telling me to go home?” She muttered.
Skylar glanced at her.
“What did he say?”
“Nothing.”
Skylar looked back towards Jonathan and Sophia, then at Cathrine
She was quiet for a moment.
“Catherine…..”
“Hmmm”
“I don’t think he’s telling you everything”
Catherine looked at her.
Score she could say anything, Skylar picked up her bag.
“Come on, let’s go.”
Catherine slowly move forward, but her mind was already somewhere else.
