Chapter Two
Annie got there a little after three. They decided that we would all go down and lay on the beach for a while. The sun was out, and it was rather warm. There were a lot of people out for the middle of the week, but that didn’t matter.
Julie and Annie went into her bedroom to change, and I was told to get on my swimsuit.
“I don’t have one. I planned on buying a new one when I got here this summer.”
“You actually came to live on the California beach and didn’t bring a suit? Well you’ve got a choice then. You can go out there just wearing that shiny little cage that will glisten in the sun, or you can wear one of mine. But one way or the other you will be down there with us. Now, I don’t suppose you want to wear a one piece suit, so you can wear one of my bikini bottoms.”
