Gavin watched the young couple eying the tower and the activity of the early buyers. Carpenters hired for the interior construction were hurrying in and out carrying tools and debris. Other buyers were still busy cutting or pecking out their quarters. The look of awe and wonder on the couple"s face told him they were more than interested. It was obvious from the arrangement of her feathers that she would soon be nested.
Gavin sleeked back his stubby crest and checked his dark feathers. He was pure blue-black and a forward crest might frighten them. A toothy smile appeared under his hooked beak as he approached the two.
“Hello, my name is Gavin Darter. Welcome to the Complex. May I show you around? Then once we"ve toured everything, I"ll be able to tell you about all of your options.”
