The Q&A session was where things always got tricky. The board members wasted no time in challenging their assumptions, pressing for details, testing their confidence. “What about scalability?” one of them asked. “Expanding too fast has buried companies bigger than yours before.” Nathan handled that one, running through their contingency plans. “The projected costs in year two seem aggressive,” another board member pointed out. Rachel countered smoothly, explaining how the reinvestment strategy balanced those concerns. And then, Victor finally spoke. “Miss Catherine,” he said, his voice even. “Your strategy is strong, but I have one question. If something unexpected happens—something not covered by all these projections—do you have the leadership to handle it?” The room fell silent.
