As soon as we made it through the portal the witch grabbed a broom and disappeared. Only the young ones still use brooms to get around. The rest of them learn to jump once they have control of their crystals. I'm not sure how that works but it's a right of passage for witches. I used to love seeing them grow on the main street here.
