“I have been studying the stars,” Lord Regent Harza Lozu told them that night in Janin Romei’s tent. “We are drawing close to an astrological event that occurs very rarely. The moons will rise in a triple eclipse on the first morning of spring. I believe this is the ‘alignment’ that Brian spoke of. By my calculations, this only happens once every five thousand years.”
“This could be a problem,” Riley commented dryly. “Even discounting what the book said.”
“Why?” Banten Kerigos asked him.
“The fleet,” Riley explained. “Something like that would probably cause a tidal wave. If those ships are still off the eastern coast they could be destroyed.”
