A ceremony for Oron Gartok was held the next morning. Such proceedings were a time of quiet contemplation. A silent procession accompanied the litter upon which the body lay, and people lined the streets. It seemed as though the entire city was in attendance. Eelura Kalad spoke the words; “The loss we feel today is gain for other times. Our hopes, on future bent, must depend on moments such as these. Though bodies wear, and in time’s mill are spent in service such as yours, Oron Gartok, you remain undiminished by the passing of this flesh. From a body’s birth to its grave and then to birth again, the cycle will continue. We gather here to bid farewell to the man we knew as Oron Gartok.
