CHAPTER FIFTEEN
The next morning, they started out after a quick breakfast with Neesha leading. Halfway through the morning, they came upon a vague trail intersecting their path. Without hesitation, Neesha turned left onto this trail.
“This leads to the kraal of my people,” she said.
Of the three moons circling the planet, only the red shone above them, lending the jungle a Martian glare. When the opal of the sun shone directly overhead, they stopped for lunch and rest.
A flash of jealousy crossed Neesha's face as she watched Toshin help Kris prepare lunch. Then her attention was distracted as Riley and Brian began their session with the bokken. She watched as intently as she had the previous day.
