Today felt unreal — like a moment I never thought I would have. Just yesterday, buying new dresses or even a small accessory felt out of reach. And now… I was holding an elegant watch Jacob bought for me.
I traced my fingers over it slowly, my hands trembling a little. Every time the light touched its surface, my breath hitched. The weight of it resting on my palm made me blink more than once, as if my mind was trying to catch up.
It looked so fine and expensive that I touched it again just to be sure it was real. A small smile tugged at my lips before I could stop it.
