Edited   The only reason I woke up was because of the aches all over my body. As soon as I sat up, the memories of the last night hit my head like a tidal wave. "Oh, Brady." I murmured to myself. It took all of my willpower not to go back to sleep. I put on some clothes and then went down to see if the canteen was still standing. It was, but everyone was keeping their distance and not looking at each other in the eye. Oof. Really tough atmosphere. It was actually pretty creepy seeing tables piled on places where zombies could have got in from. I saw Brandon sitting on his own and went to join him. We sat in silence for a few minutes, then Alex came to join us. When he sat down, I finally asked what had been on my mind all night... "What happened?"  Everybody just sat there, stiff, as if about to break from the tiniest sound. Finally, Brandon replied, "A newcomer came in with a tiny cut on her thumb. She turned when she went to bed and ate her roommate. You know the rest." Oh. Damn. That was NOT what I expected. We continued eating in silence. One by one, the people at the table left to go back to their rooms until it was only me and Alex left. As I got up to leave, Alex called out, "What are you doing today?" "I'm doing what everyone else is doing nothing,"I answered bitterly. He could see that I was upset so he didn't pester me any longer. As I went up to my room, I saw the course the zombies took. It was like an acid that destroyed everything in its path. I saw the path the fire had burned. And I saw the dead people that were shot. I decide not to look around anymore and looked down at my feet. When I got into me I lay down in my room and just lay there. Then there was a soft knock on my door. A girl I had never seen before was standing outside my door. "Who are you?" "I'm Lisa." "What do you want?" " I just want to thank you for saving my life last night." "OK. Your welcome." As I turned around to close the door she said, "Would you like a Mars bar?" Authors note Mars bars company if you're reading this please don't sue me. Thank you. "Um yeah," I said uncertainly. She handed it to me and then walked off. I turned around looking all over the packet to see if it had been opened and when I saw nothing I opened it. As I took my first bite, savouring the flavour, I instantly knew something was off. Seconds later, I felt dizzy and then heard Lisas's voice saying,  "You dumb boy." That was all I heard before everything went black.
