CHAPTER 15

Mr Mikael sat behind his table, his fingers entwined with the other as he looked at his staff he was yet to figure out.

"Do you know what you did can get you fired"

"What did I do?" Lilith replied nonchalantly

Mr Mikael brought his hands to the bridge of his nose

"You see, I did not do anything and if by chance I did something, you have no proof, as simple as that. Now if you excuse me I have work to attend to" Lilith smiled evilly with an innocent calm smile that showed nothing but deviousness.

Lilith turned her hands on the knob of the door

"Wait, "

She turned around to see Mr Mikael with a first aid box. He touches her shoulder pushing her forward to the couch. He opens the box bringing out the necessary things to dress the wounds

"You see I have no problem with what you did, he got retribution for his kindness"

Lilith snorted mockingly

"Kindness indeed" she mumbled

Lilith looks up and sees that Mr Mikael was already starting at her with an emotion she could not recognise, she quickly darts her eyes away trying to look anywhere but him

"You would have come to file a complaint of what he did, but I see you have a different method"

"I am not admitting anything but he got what he deserved. Girls are not toys that can just be picked up and played with. Not only girls but everyone! We are all human beings and no one should be treated differently because one has a higher privilege. f*****g bastard" Lilith ranted

Mr Mikael tilted his head as he stopped dressing her cuts

"You are right. But that doesn't mean you should beat up everyone that comes your way or that irritates or offend you, that we have law enforcers"

"Are you talking about the police? Do not get me started. I don't apply logic to many things, all I know if you offend me once I will pay you back hundredfold. I do not talk about any form of disrespect. I already have a lifetime of it" Lilith withdrew her hands from Mr Mikael and walked out of his office with his gaze still lingering on her.

The minute Lilith stepped out the office she met with a lot of gazes and a shaken Bianca who wouldn't meet her eyes. Lilith smirked triumphantly, at least someone learnt something. Lilith marches up to her

"Hello Bianca" She whispers lowly

"W..haaa..what.. do .y....ou w..a..n..t?" Bianca replied shakily

"Do you know why it was easy for me to break the bottle the way I did?" Lilith whispered dauntingly

Bianca gulped in fear

"I imagined your face and boom it was so much easier. The next time it wouldn't be a bottle I will break, but you"

Bianca gasped loudly attracting more attention as she fell on her bottom with teary eyes as she searched for help among the workers

"This is the level you belong to. You are below me, know your place. The next time you step out of your place, you will not live to tell the tale"

Lilith was smiling manicially like someone who has gone lazy as she looked down on Biance with contempt. She did not care that she was too harsh or being unfair, she will never allow herself to be mistreated and she tend to keep that promise even if she has to get her hands dirty.

It was already 10pm when Lilith got back to the house. Lilith was tired but to her it was a small price to pay, she went to the kitchen to see if she would find any luck with seeing food as she could stomach something today. She could not help but smile happily when she saw the food her grandma left for her with a note

"Eat! Stop skipping meals. You are beautiful the way you are and remember Grandma always love you no matter what"

Lilith could not stop the tears that came down her face. It felt so good for someone to actually show that she loves her and not just say, those are two different things. As much as she wants to behave like things do not get to her, it did. When that disgusting customer touched her in ways he should not, she felt sick to her bones and to recall the past she wishes to forget. Lilith felt tired, but she made a promise she intends to keep.

Lilith eats a little and take a huge chunk of water and heads to her room. Reaching her room she sees her brother sleeping soundly on her bed, he must have slept off while waiting for her.

She tiptoe to the shower and has her bath.

Coming out she sees her brother sitting on the edge of the bed with his eyes wide awake

Lilith moves forward and sits near her brother. A stretch of silences until

"Are you working because of me?" Williams asked with his head down

"You are part of the reason why, but why the sudden interest of why I decided to work" Lilith could not help but be curious at her brother's new curiosity

"I feel like I am the reason why you are over working and over stressing yourself. I feel like I am the reason why you are still house taking dad and mom's crap"

William still refuses to look at his sister in guilt

Lilith hugs her brother sideways, resting her forehead against his

"Remember when I say we are on this together? if I leave, we leave together. If I stay, we stay together. I know you want to leave her but right now I do not have enough cash to substantiate both of us for the long run and also this is not your fault do not feel guilty for anything. I decided to take the burden of fending for both if us in terms of money. But you are not a burden"
