LILITH’S POV
I am so nervous; this is my first time doing something on my own without my parents’ buying my way in. I just hope that whoever that will interview me will not tell through my façade.
“You may come in” the voice was clipped, Lilith you can do this! You can do this! Do not look weak, yes!
I keep chanting to myself until I enter the office
I blink my eyes numerous time as I try to adjust to the brightness of the office standing at the opened door, wow everywhere is white just-
“Are you going to stand there all day?” the same voice piped in
Becoming aware again, I rush to the seat opposite to the interviewer as I am still trying to adjust to the bright room
Holy cow! Am I in heaven right now?
A smile plays on his lips and his pearl teeth show, wow! Wait did I say that out loud?
“Yes you said that out loud”
“Well you cannot blame me, come on I am sure that you looked at yourself in the mirror. If I look anything like you, I will be the next Gigi Hadid” I reply stretching my hands to touch his soft curly hair, WOAH totally worth it
He kept looking at me in amusement with his head turn to the side
“As much as I like looking at your godly face, I have an interview. So where is your boss or father or manager or?” circularly motioning my hands in a gesture of him to answer the question
“You are here for an interview?” he asked in his orgasmic voice, lord take me now
“Did anyone tell you that your voice is heavenly!” I said with wide eyes smiling like an i***t and looking at him as my next meal
He busted out into laughter, placing his hands over his mouth as he is tried to stop the laughing
“And also yes, the receptionist collected my CV and told me to come today for an interview?” I answered with a confused expression
“Can you describe the person that you spoke to?”
“She has blond hair, 5’5 fair-skinned far too skinny and with a very bitchy attitude” I explained with bitterness as I remembered the unfortunate encounter
“Bianca, I hate to break it to you, you were set up. All the staff here knows that Sunday is a hectic day, the manager will be on a bad mood and pour his anger and frustration on anything closest to him and by the way who let you in?” he answered
“She was the one; I knew her new profound niceness was sketchy. I knew something was off! Just wait till I get my hands on that little motherfu-“
“Language” he cautioned me with a stern look
“Sorry, as much as I love to chits chat with you. My brother is waiting for me outside so I am in a hurry” I replied looking around for an older man to poof out of somewhere

My focus went back to him as I looked at him with a raised eyebrow
“You are looking at him” he responded smugly
“Huh? But you look 20? 21? The manager how is that possible. Stop playing with me here, you almost gave me a heart attack” putting my hands over my chest in a joking manner while laughing
But wait a minute, someone once told me I am smart but very slow at seeing and processing things. Of course, I browsed about the restaurant I applied for

A five-star rating restaurant is known but their delicious foods and nice staffs blah blah
Emm I also looked up the employee’s list
The manager’s profile did not have a picture but they were rumors that it managed by a very handsome young man, he is a low key person who doesn’t have a social media handle or anything but I got his name
Daniel Mickael
I look over to the plaque and the name Daniel Mickael
Was written there but that doesn’t prove anything
He is young check
The same name check
He is the only person in the office check
He is sitting on the manager’s chair check
I am stupid check
The realization came to me land I could not help but use my hand to hit my head multiple times

A hand clasp my hands preventing me from hitting my head, I look up to find it to be nobody else but Mr. Daniel
“Hey, don’t be hard on yourself. I would not believe or know I am the manager of this establishment, heck people do not believe it.” He breathed in an understanding tone but I could still see a hint of merriment
Removing my hands from his clasp, I begin to fiddle with the hem of my cloth and cast my eyes down in embarrassment

“I am sorry for the misunderstanding and rudely speaking to you, I understand if you decide not to hire me” I declared trying to appear as confident and apologetic as I could
He leaned back on his chair with his left hand under his chin as he looked at me with a glint I could not comprehend
“Your CV was not sent to me, so tell me about yourself”
Shoot! This did not go as I imagined it
“Emm... My name is Lilith Williams, I just turned 18. I am in my senior year in high school and Ihavenoworkingexperience” I mumbled the last part in fear of being rejected
“Can you repeat that last part”
“I have no working experience” sighing in defeat, yup I am so not getting this job
“Okay, everyone has to start from somewhere. Tell me more about yourself” he continued in an inquisitive manner
Wow, he just bushes that away. Luck is definitely on my side
“I stay with parents but they do not take off my brother and I. So I being the oldest have to do the needful, hence why I am here.”
Yes, that is the truth but not 100%. I don’t want to be employed based on a lie, I might I have lied of my last name and age, but the rest are somehow true
“Since you are still in school I believe you applied for the part-time waitress?” he asked
“Yes! I get off school by 4 pm and can stay still the next day if needed and I am free every weekend” I quickly replied flashing him my smile that is supposed to mean i-understand-if-you-do-not-hire-me but I am pretty sure it looked like i-am-really-desperate-please-me-hire-me
“Okay, we will get back to you as soon as possible, as soon as we verified what you said and see if you are qualified for the job. Thank you for coming” He smiled turning his chair away from me as he backed me
Taking that as an indication to leave, I better start looking for another job. I do not think I will be hired
Walking out of the office in sadness and defeat, I quickly changed my expression into a happy one as my brother came in view but then I see miss bitchy face
“So how did it go?” she snickered mockingly
“I was surprised he did not throw you out as soon as you stepped into his office, but your expression alone gave me all the answers I needed. You think you can just come in here in a slutty clothing and seduce your way in, you better have learned your lesson” she sneered while looking at me condescendingly
Walking past her as she is still laughing, wait a minute I won't be employed anyways why do I have to keep up with her shitty character
“Buddy are you through with that?” I asked my brother as I pointed towards the drink he is holding. He nodded his head hesitantly and collected his drink and match forward to Bianca, pouring the drink over her head as she opened her mouth in surprise and horror
“Oh honey you should not walk around like that, if I was a customer I would lose my appetite if I see such a filthy and disgusting sight as yourself, and please I do not know who you are trying to deceive by wearing this fake Louis Vuitton cloth but honey we all know it is a knock off. They just wanted to play nice but since you decided to be such an annoying whiny bratty b***h and I being the loving angel I am I just have to tell you it is not worth it” I told her in a fake childlike innocent voice
Moving closer to her,
“People might allow you to talk down to them and behave like trash. But I will not take that rubbish, know your place or I will gladly put you in your place and trust me you do not want that” I whispered in her ear in a low taunting threatening manner
Stepping away from her I smiled innocently, oh people are looking at us wow!
“William let us go” gripping my brother’s hands and walking away from the restaurant while William was looking at me with pride? And amazement
“That was so cool Lilith! What was that?” he asked excitedly
Smiling down at my brother while looking ahead
“William I am going to teach you a lot of things and the first rule is. Never allow someone to talk down at you or make you feel less of yourself”
