The Girl Who Tamed Trey

Chapter 4

She had seen this way too often. Katie was 3 years younger than both me and Ashley. She spent a lot of time at their dad's place since it was closer to her school but when she was here she was such an angel.

Mine and Ashley's parents used to be really close. Me and Ashley grew up together from primary school so it wasn't at all surprising.

Ashley dragged me up to her room she wrapped her arms around me instantly "I wish you could live here Mia but the stupid government and their stupid rules," Ashley says as she leans back.

"I know it's okay though I can stay with my uncle for the time being before I turn 18, hopefully after that, I can either find my own place or maybe I can patch things up with my mum" when I say this Ashley looks at me surprised.

"you're still willing to live with her after she did that to you" her eyes cast to the red mark still evident on my face.

I shifted in my seat. "she's my mother and as much as I hate her this minute I do love her I would rather stay with her than be on my own" Ash immediately runs over to me wrapping her arms around my shoulders. I hug her back and bury my head in her blonde curls.

When things started to get bad with my mum we started to think about the possibility of me moving out and in with Ashley. We spend every waking moment together so it only made sense. But it was never going to be that easy and I needed to stay with my mum.

But now that's she's slapped me, I don't think I could stay. There's only so much that I could take.

"Thank you, I really needed that," I say to her pulling away. Worried that I was spilling my tears on her shirt.

" you know I'm always here for you Mia, I don't think it’s possible for you to get rid of me" she says as she pushes my hair behind my shoulders.

" you really should" I muttered but instead of her finding it remotely funny she glared at me.

She turned her back to me. " I'll pretend I dint hear that Mia"

I shook my head, I really didn't deserve her.

We eventually decided that we would watch transformers since its one of my favourite movies at the minute. On normal days Ashley would fight me on this but since she was trying to make me feel better she let me have the choice in tonight's movie.

We were an hour into the movie when I got a notification on my phone. I quickly check it to find that Trey's friend request pops up again. I look over to Ashley and see her eyes are still fixed on the screen. When I turn my attention back to my phone I notice in the corner of my eye that her lips curve up into a smile.

I click to his profile and see his picture, he stands on a top of a cliff with a man older than him. This man has Trey in a head lock and although he may be in pain he has this massive grin on his face. The smile is contagious and I automatically start grinning.

"you have to admit Mia that boy was graced with some good genetics," Ashley says turning her attention to me. I quickly put the phone down. She notices my actions and crosses her arms across her chest. "c'mon you can't be possibly telling me that you don't find him attractive"

When she says this my mind refers to the picture I was just looking at. There was a glint in his eyes that made me want to be in that moment with him and I couldn't get it off my mind. I also couldn't erase the feeling of his hand on my face just an hour ago. The concern on his face when he saw the mark.

"Fine, yes he's attractive but ... I don't want to have this conversation anymore" I turn so I'm now facing the screen again. All I can hear is her laughter as she turns up the volume of the movie. Were on a slow part of the movie and the Autobots are driving down this big long road.

Don't you just love Bumble Bee.

The next morning, we took our time getting ready because well we are girls and we must be looking a little bit decent and that takes time.

Half an hour later we were ready. Well, I was ready 15 minutes ago but Ashley wanted to curl her hair which caused me to wait for her.

"hurry the f**k up Ashley," I said walking down the stairs as she contemplates what shoes to wear.

"Mia" Ashley's mum gasps, only then do I realise that I swore in the company of her mum. My best friend, however, found it hilarious.

"stop trying to act strict mother you swore this morning because you dropped a brush in the toilet." This earns a light slap on Ashley's shoulder, the both erupt into laughter.

I don't follow them; my eyes were too busy fixating on the little action. I start to think back to what happened with my mum and a pain fills my chest. Ashley soon catches on and her face soon masks over. She tries to act normal so her mother wouldn't notice but she failed miserably. Her mum may be stupid at times but she isn't an i***t.

"girls, what's wrong, "she asks as she stops the car, we were sitting at a red light and there seems to be quite a lot of roadworks on the road.

Just perfect.

Chapter 7-02

"it's nothing really Linda I just had an argument with my mum that's all," I say, there no point lying to her and trying to make u an excuse. She knows about my mum as I said before it doesn't take a genius.

"oh, sweetie why didn't you say, I can talk with her if you'd like" she offers to do, which is very nice of her, this is why I love Linda.

"NO," I say rather loudly and quickly, both seem surprised at my little outburst. "I mean there's no need for that I'm sure she'll come around" I don't know who I'm trying to convince here because I didn't even find that little bit convincing.

I can tell she was about to say something else but the lights turn green and she has no choice but to face the road and pull into the college.

"thank you for the ride Linda" I drop some money in the middle compartment and leave the car quite quickly. She used to hate when I gave her money for the petrol but since I do it every time she takes us she just endures it now.

" No problem honey, I'll see you tonight for dinner" she says offering me her most kindest smile. A smile every daughter wants to see.

Ashley stays in the car, obviously, she wants to discuss something with her mum so I just head inside, we are in different parts of the school anyway. We probably won't see each other until the end of the day because Wednesdays are normally when she hangs out with the others since I normally am in the library finishing work.

As I was busy rushing to my room I spot Trey walking through the doors opposite, I quickly spin around hopefully he hasn't seen me yet so I can make a lucky exit but instead of successfully escaping I bump into someone which causes my books to fall and spread across the floor.

I curse in my head when I meet the eyes of Brad. when he sees it's me he quickly diverts his eyes and walks over my folder and storms through the doors.

"watch it" Brad mumbles before disappearing from my line of sight.

I crouch down and start to pick up my stuff. There used to be a time where Brad would offer to help me but those days are gone. Now he simply treats me like dirt.

As I was collecting my books I noticed someone bend down to help me. I recognised his warm brown eyes instantly. Trey bends down as well and starts to help by picking up some of my heavy books. I smile slightly because I'm sure he could have just walked away but he stayed to help me.

"no thank you?" he questions as we both stand back up. Well if he just gave me a second.

He leans back against the wall and watches me place stuff in my bag.

"I take words or actions as a thankyou it's your choice entirely." He says and rubs his lips together, probably trying to refrain from smirking. I take a deep breath before walking up to him.

"do you normally get girls thanking you before you've done s**t all?" I didn't mean it as an insult maybe something to inflate that big a*s ego he has. His eyes widen at my words and he was about to say something but we both turn to find Toby clearly finding something funny as he laughs hysterically whilst leaning over with his hands on his knees.

"brilliant, my mood has suddenly been lifted, love her already," he says taking the folder from my hands and shoves it into Trey's chest. I'm about to grab it back but Toby successfully stuns me to silence as he takes my girly bag and slings it around his shoulder before leading the way into the business department.

"but..." I stutter running after them both . I felt like I was being watched that's all I can say. I was having a major problem with everyone looking at me as I followed the guys. It was like we became interesting enough for everyone around to pause whatever they were doing and witness.

"Why do you carry so many books anyway," Trey asks me to step back to walk with me. I got to the point where I gave up trying to stop the guys walking off with all my stuff.

I guess having them carrying my books isn't too bad and is doing wonders for my shoulders.

"Well, my locker is f****d up so I have to carry everything for the time being before they sort it out" Trey just nods his head but his jaw tightens slightly as we walk into the classroom.

Thanks to a little prank on April fools my locker was filled with baking Ingredients and sticky stuff that I can't even name what it was. It would have been funny if it wasn't done by old friends that now wish I never woke up in the morning.

I couldn't really tell them to leave me alone since all three of us have this period together.

They normally sit in the back and participate sometimes, Trey and Toby. I must admit they actually do have brains. I shouldn't be judging them really, I wouldn't want them doing the same to me.

It's weird that I barely focused on them even though we had these classes together. Now I'm on speaking terms with them all thanks to Ashley.

I managed to grab the remaining stuff from Toby and find my seat somewhere in the middle where I usually sat. I stared at both of them as the surprisingly pulled out chairs and sat with me on this table.

To say that Ashley was surprised was an understatement. She walked into the room. Her eyes moved to us three sitting on the middle table.

"Hey Mia, hey guys " she sits herself on the chair next to Toby since Trey decided to take up like three seats with his long legs.

I doubt she has a problem with that though. The girl has a thing for Toby and I wouldn't be surprised if they get together anytime soon.
