Falling in love with my Boss

Caroline decides to move to California. She starts to look for an apartment and sends out a job application to a well-known company in California. She was super excited about moving because she knew moving for her was a good opportunity to start afresh away from the small town where she had grown up and everyone knew about her being an orphan.

She starts to pack up her clothes and other necessities when she gets a message on her phone that her job application has been accepted, and she is to resume work the following week as a secretary.

Caroline jumps up in happiness and rushes downstairs to meet her uncle in the sitting room to tell him about the message.

“ I got it! I got it!,” she shrieks as she rushes down the stairs to meet George. She runs towards where he's sitting and shows him the message, putting her hand in the air and wiggling her waist, waiting for him to join her as soon as he reads the contents of the message.

“ I knew you would get in, you deserve it, and even better things life has to offer,” he says, removing his reading glasses from his eye to drop on the chair. She quickly pulls him up to join her in her little dance. They both danced and chuckled. George was truly happy to see her this way, and he was not ready to lose it over the truth.

Caroline returns to her room to pack the rest of things. She soon sees a self-contained room with a kitchen and a bathroom posted online for rent on Alameda Street. She checks out the picture posted and decides to go check it out the next day and if she likes the apartment before paying.

The next morning, the sun shines brightly on her pale cheeks from the window, causing her to wake up. This was the first time Caroline had slept without having any episodes or nightmares. This gave her a sense of relief and some kind of comfort that she had made the right decision to move. She goes to take out a nice pair of blue jean trousers, a white tank top, a leather jacket, and a pair of boots.

She goes to take her bath and get dressed because she has a long day ahead of her. She finishes you with what she's everything and comes downstairs. George had made toast and her coffee for her.

“ Thank you, you spoil me too much georgy I'm going to miss you so much.” She says, pouting out her mouth in a cute way to make George laugh.

“ I know .” He replies with a broad smile on his face.

She proceeded to eat her toast quickly because time was going by, and she had a long way to go.

“ I'm off already, Georgyy,” She says as she rushes out of the house with her toast crumbles on the side of her lips.

“ Wipe your mouth, Carl, there are crumbles of toast on your lips.” He shouted, opening the door, so she would hear him. She turned back and wiped her mouth, then waved her hands to him to say bye. He waved back with a broad smile and went inside.

Caroline soon reaches California after hours have passed. She gets to the apartment she wants to rent and calls up the agent. While waiting for the agent to come attend to her, she meets Mia, her new neighbor. Mia smiles broadly at her revealing pretty dimples.

She walks towards Carolina and extends her hand. “ I'm Mia, I am right next to you.” She says, still waiting for Caroline to shake her hand.

She seemed nice, I thought to myself.

“Oh Hi, I'm Caroline, I just moved here,” she replies, shaking her hand.

“I can tell! ,” she replies, laughing loudly this time, but not in a bad way, more like a good way. Caroline laughs with her in other seem awkward.

Deep down, she was happy that Mia had approached her. She was not perfect at socializing because she never had friends.

“Let’s be friends,” Mia says with a smile on her face and a hand gesture as if she wanted a hug.

“I can be a helping hand to clean your apartment, you know? There's always a lot of dust. Mine was that way when I first packed here.” Mia says as a winning point to capture Caroline to agree to her helping out. She had a hunch Caroline would decline her offer if she hadn't exaggerated that way.

“ yes, please,” Caroline responds happily. The agent soon arrived and handed over the key to Caroline.

Mia and Caroline try to kick things off in their newly founded friendship together. They went to get some cleaning products needed to tidy up the apartment.

They get back from shopping and start to clean everywhere while getting to know each other more.

“Omg, I didn't realize time had gone so long.” She said gasping while bringing her hand towards her mouth. Hearing this, Mia helps her to finish up really quickly, and she locks up her new apartment ready to go back to her small town.
