Man from the Comic

Chapter 3 A picture

It's saturday and I don't have to go to school after taking my bath and preparing breakfast, I woke my roommate up to eat with me, I am surprised she is still sleeping she usually awake before me...

As I was eating I picked up my phone and went online, I saw that I have two messages one is from our departmental group chat, the other one is from mysterious man from the comic... I scanned through the group chat but there was nothing relevant there, I opened mysterious man from the comic's message

"Hi"

"you there"

"it's been a busy day for me, just got home if you are online let's chat"

I saw that I got the message around 8am, it's been two hours since then, so I don't know if he would still want to chat, I don't really know the time difference between Nigeria and South Korea, so I replied his message anyway

"Hi, goodmorning"

"I'm having breakfast now, just saw you message"

"If you are still online let's chat"

After two minutes I got a reply from him

"Ok, what's the time over there?"

I quickly typed

"10 am, there?"

He replied

"It's 6pm over here, the time difference between us is 8 hours"

"What will you do after breakfast"

I typed

"Nothing much, I just submitted the last assignment I had yesterday"

"I pretty don't have anything much going on today"

He replied

"What year are you in school"

"That means you will be free to go on a date with your boyfriend, I wish I can have a free day all to myself"

He types really fast, since I am already through with my breakfast I took the plate to the kitchen and drop it on the sink, I will do the dishes later, I lay on the bed and replied his message

"I'm in my second year"

"and I don't have a boyfriend, how come you are always busy, are you not free now? Since you have time to chat"

Mysterious man from the comic is typing

"Why don't you have a boyfriend?"

"No I am not free, I'm in a boring meeting right now, that's why i'm chatting"

I replied

"I don't know Y, maybe it's because I am not pretty"

"Lol is it that boring?"

He replied

"How are you not pretty?, send me a picture, let me see if you are pretty or not?"

A picture! I am not sure I have any pretty pictures, do I even have a picture on my phone, I went to search my gallery, while searching I got a message from him

"I'm still waiting"

I replied

"I'm looking for one, hold on a sec"

I scanned my gallery I had only two pictures which I feel are manageable, I asked my room mate for advice of which one to send, she picked one that I also think is better, I sent it to him and waited for his reply, when I heard my phone's buzz of a new message, I couldn't bring myself to open his message, because I was scared of his reply, I logged out and slept...
